Actually uncompressed foam from what I've received. There's 'some' foam out there that ships uncompressed - but obviously the seller receives it compressed, you can tell by the heavy packaging band marks that don't come out.I like this foam has six ridges, most of the other has 12.... to me, this is purely aesthetics, but I like it better :)Color options are great, but the saturation seems a little boosted in these pics. The blacks are not so black and the colors not so vibrant.In one package (I bought four) the foam had some tiny holes, seems to be a manufacturing thing... I might send that one back for exchange.... I might keep it, it's not that big of a deal really. (EDIT: I decided to keep it, you can't tell once it's installed and it in no way affects performance :)I used 3/4 inch wire brads to put these up, leaves a smaller hole in my wall and are nearly invisible compared to t-pins.And then to what musicians and audiophiles already know, acoustically treated rooms are to die for! It does its job just as I expected it would, but it WAS surprising at how little foam I installed before I noticed it working :)Good stuff.(EDIT: GREAT stuff! I've got nearly all my foam installed now I ended up buying 4 packs of 12 (and still needed a few extra) my home studio sounds amazing and is the best sounding small room I've ever been in. In terms of bang for the buck this is right at the top of the best things I've ever done to improve my sound - and I'll point out that I also added bass traps and floated my speakers all at the same time. Amazing. The guys at Pro Studio Acoustics are great to deal with as well, thanks again for everything Bryan!)

These are beautiful and there’s no need to let them expand since they already come in their true form which is great and esthetically pleasing. They are very firm which is also amazing. Just don’t use 3m foam squares to stick em up! They will fall!If you don’t want to use glue there are other 3m options. Just not the foam squares!

Product came on-time and as described. All the different color choices are great, purple just happens to be my favorite! Installation-wise, that all depends on what surface you want to put it on. I tried just using some double-sided 3M Tape, but they didn't really want to stick to the foam. I just Gorilla Glued the 3M Tape to the foam and then put it on my painted drywall. I have seen it used and installed in many different ways. Just depends what best fits your needs.I believe it does help negate some sound/noise. I got it cause I have roommates and we all have different schedules.I feel like I hear less noise in my room. Will purchase another set or two for other spots in my room.

Using in home sound studio. It takes about three orders if you want to do the whole room. It works great.

good quality material, thick isolation foam. worked well in my closet.

Pricey but worth it. High quality, uncompressed foam and looks great to!
