I was looking for a small and inexpensive bed to put outside for a stray cat that has decided to take up residence on our front porch at night to get out from the cold weather. The gray color is a deep gray which works perfectly since this cat is a darker gray in fur color. The bed is very soft and will keep the cat warm from its own body heat. The material is so fluffy that it may be a challenge to thoroughly clean it from hair and dirt/mud that the cat treks in from out in the woods.The one thing to caution potential buyers is that you really need to make sure that the size will accommodate your pet. It states that it is for smaller dogs, but you really need to have a very small dog for him/her to be comfortable because the cat that uses this is a medium sized cat and it just about fits on the bed when it is curled up. Therefore, make sure you have a toy dog sized dog if you are using it for one. If you are using it for a cat then you should be just fine. I was hoping this was a little larger, but it will work for my needs (and the cat's needs) and this is very inexpensive.

I have a tall cat tree but sometimes you need a little extra "storage space" for your cats. I have 5 total, so the tree was getting a little crowded. I purchased this little shelf (also from Amazon) and these two little beds with the intent of putting the cat beds on the shelf there. The cats figured out right away that these were prime napping real estate and they take turns in shifts sleeping in them. They are excellent quality for what they cost. They are not super thick, but they don't care. They are soft and fuzzy, so I'm sure they're nice and cozy. Another bonus is they got one if my cats to stop sleeping on of the top of the fridge where she kept knocking stuff down. I may grab a few more for around the house in the future. I bet they would lose their minds if I put heating pads under them haha! Actual cat magnets at that point!

My old dogs (who were really bad chewers in their youth) have had Kuranda dog beds for over a decade that have held up amazing well. (I am just now, 12+ years later buying a replacement interior portion for $30 for ONE of the two that finally ripped.)Since both my boys are geriatric now, and have some incontinence, I wanted to be able to put down something that would catch urine, but I don’t have to wash the urine smell out of, but would not be torn up by claws or chewing. I use adult incontinence pads because they’re the right size, not as pricey as dog pads, and don’t have the pheromones to attract for urinating on. (Because that is NOT the goal, it is for accidents only.)The idea was that if I had a mat over it that could attach to the bed, it would keep the pad underneath from getting shredded.I love the Kuranda company, it’s mission, and it’s products, but I also needed to buy some padding that wouldn’t break the bank and was easily washable, since it will likely need to be replaced due to washing so much. I bought this crate mat hoping the elastic would fit around the legs of the Kuranda bed, to keep the mat from sliding and the pee pass from shredding, and it fits perfectly!! (For reference, Kuranda bed exterior dimensions are 40x25 and I purchased the 42x26 mat.)I do sometimes my pee pads for kids that have adhesive on the corners, but they are a tad pricier than the adult pads I’ve found. So I also bought some double sided carpet tape to help hold the incontinence pad in place. 🤞 Hopefully this system is comfortable for my old friends, but limits the clean up for me because I often have to run things through the wash two or even three times to get all the smell out.

Update: Happy to say the problem I had with this order was corrected with one phone call to Amazon's customer service. The missing item is on its way!I ordered 2 of these mats. When I received my order the tracking said there was 2 mats in the box, but there was only one. I am working on this problem now and will update this review with the result. As for the mat I did receive, I am completely satisfied with it. It is good quality, made very well and will probably last for years. An excellent product for the price. I have bought from Midwest Home For Pets before and do recommend them and their products. They produce good quality products at a good price. We'll see how they do on correcting the mix up on this particular order. I will update you with the result.

I have 3 cats and I stream/game on my computer often. All 3 of them want to be with me at all times. I purchased this bed to put on my desk to help mitigate some of the walking across my hands and face while I’m trying to do something. Previously I just had a folded blanket in it’s spot. This works much better. They love this bed so much, there’s often one in the bed even when I’m not at my desk! It does have little corner straps on the bottom to attach to a kennel bottom, but they don’t get in the way of anything so you can place the bed wherever you want. My cats are happy. I’m happy. My roommate is jealous. I’ll probably need to get one for their desk as well. 10/10 would (probably will) buy again.

Just commenting that while the dimensions are slightly smaller than listed, I believe that is intentional as it’s designed to fit inside an 18” crate or carrier. Mine fits close enough inside the size Large Sturdibag carrier. The quality is pretty good considering the value price point, but I would buy something higher quality to use for a stand alone bed. The actual dimensions measured with my measuring tape are 17” x 12”. The white sherpa version seems sufficiently durable. The attached tag says to wash only in machines that don’t have an agitator, which mine does, but I think it will be fine using the delicate cycle.

This bed has worked great so far. What I do like is that the pad is firm but soft. It also comes with corner straps so it stays on the crate mat. It also washes easily in a washing machine. I dont know about chew proof because we have not had that incident luckily. The only negative I have so far is that it sheds! It sheds like crazy. Whether it is agitated or not but seriously for the price it is still a great option.

I was surprised how thin it was. I tried it myself and it wasn’t very comfortable

size to small for our cat.
