Fun fashion game; has its pluses and minuses
My daughter bought this game, and this is her review:If you've ever played Style Savvy: Trendsetters, then you will probably like this game. It's similar in many ways, particularly, your is job is to create outfits. In Girls' Fashion Shoot, you are creating outfits for a magazine (whereas in SS: Trendsetters you create outfits for individual shoppers). In Girls' Fashion Shoot, you also receive requests to be featured in ads. When you receive a request, you send in your picture, and if you are accepted you will receive $100,000 payment per ad.When you start out, you have little money, but when you begin to do jobs, your money accrues quickly and you get higher payment as you go. Also, it's best to save your money when you start out because the clothing is very expensive. Although, your money is not limited like it is on SS: Trendsetters.Working at the magazine is fun because you get to decorate the magazine page and you get to learn poses (which costs money). The things I don't like... it does become repetitive, and the clothes aren't the greatest. They don't change with the seasons, and they're kind of bland and they aren't very detailed. This game is not as good as SS: Trendsetters because SS: Trendsetters has many more options (e.g. more hairstyles and colors, more makeup choices, more clothing themes, ability to redecorate your room) and better graphics.Overall, it's a fun game, taking into consideration that it does become repetitive, so I would advise only playing it once every couple of weeks so it remains fresh and fun.

Fun & Addictive for about 12 Hours - Boring & Repetitive after that.
GIrls Fashion Shoot is a dress up game that is fun, cute, and addictive... to a certain point, after which it is limited and repetitive.Game play works like this:Your player character is a model who works at the local magazine, Rising Star. At the magazine you are given fashion prompts, which ask for the player to put together outfits using certain tags (such as 'cute' or 'tomboy') or certain types of clothing (such as 'bags' or 'cardigans'). All of the items in the game are tagged, and there is a search function, so it's easy to narrow down the items to just the ones you are allowed to use for each prompt. After picking out the outfit, the user then gets to choose a pose for their 3D model to stand in, as well as facial expression. Then they pick the background color, pattern, and can add sparkles and stickers to the picture. This is basically the *only* game play, that single mini game over and over again.Don't get me wrong, it's fun, and everything about the game is insanely cute. The player character is customizable, and new poses, clothing, and make up can be bought around town which gives the game some expansion and room to grow. But the prompts continue to grow more specific or vaguely phrased (in order to be more difficult, maybe?) and after a while the prompts are so specific there are only three or four different clothing options, which leaves little room for the creativity that made the game fun in the first place. My 3DS says I logged 12 hours of game time before the game started limiting itself and became boring, which was just over 1 year of 'game time' and about 60 or so dress up prompts. If you play every once in a while at 20 minute intervals it will last a while, or if you play for hours at a time it will go by quickly.Personally, I picked up Girls Fashion Shoot for 5$ used in a bargain bin, and consider it money well spent - but I don't feel that the limited clothing selection and repetitive game play elements are worth full retail price.

Modelling for Fun and Profit
Okay, just a warning for those expecting another Style Savvy: this is not Style Savvy. That was about running a boutique and coordinating outfits for customers and fashion shows. Girl's Fashion Shoot (Nicola Kanshuu Model: Oshare Audition 2 in Japan), is about modelling outfits for a magazine, putting together an article about the outfit in question, and entering auditions. Given that your character is in the eighth grade, this seems like a lot of responsibility. [Please note that junior high in Japan covers grades 7, 8, and 9. It is stated that you are in your second year of middle school in-game.]That being said, this game isn't for everyone. While I like it, I can only play this for short periods of time compared to Style Savvy. The character portraits may turn off some gamers (the photographer rather creeps me out), there are too many tags for clothes, and the repetitive nature may bore players. But the article layout feature is fun to experiment with, even if it's somewhat limited. So, give this game a chance. You might like it.

Cute but repetative
There are tons of available items from the wardrobe in all various colors and styles. Not surprisingly, some of the clothes are very short and skimpy. Everything is expensive in this game as well. While this game starts you off with $50,000 you can only buy a few clothing items with it. Learning a new pose costs you $3,000 a piece.

Girls Fashion shoot- like style savvy but not as fun
A gift for my young teen daughter. She said it was like a generic style savvy, fun but not the same. If you are into cute fashions , this may be a consideration for you.
