Tree Hut Brown Sugar Shea Sugar Scrub, 18 oz, Ultra Hydrating and Exfoliating Scrub for Nourishing Essential Body Care

Since COVID19 shelter in place, I've been missing my trips to the Korean spa where I'd indulge in a full body scrub to relax and rejuvenate. I discovered these highly rated scrubs & decided to see if I could recreate some of the magic at home. It definitely is a sensory treat! The aroma of the brown sugar scrub is almost good enough to eat, the consistency is a nice mix of granular and smooth, and my skin is super soft afterwards. I've tried in while soaking in a bath too - pretty nice, though if you use a lot it may not all dissolve, so you may feel some of it on the tub below you. So far I've tried Mango, Matcha Mojito and Brown Sugar. Mango was surprisingly meh. Matcha Mojito had a pleasant breezy scent. And Brown sugar was rich and sweet. I ordered Guava Passionfruit and Mocha Coffee to try next. Very reasonable price, and a fun bit of self care during these times!One note: I was concerned about the presence of plastic microbeads and see some have reviewed that they are in these scrubs. From reading the ingredient list and looking up the more technical terms, nothing matched the chemical names for the microbeads [Polyethylene (PE) Polypropylene (PP) Polyethylene terephthalate (PET)]. I did see microcrystalline wax listed and I believe that is what the beads in some of the scrubs are made of. If I hear differently, I'll update this review.Update: brown sugar scrub still the best! Warning- some of the other Tree Hut scrubs contain talc (found it in the Mango and Sunkissed Sands ingredients list). I personally avoid talc due to negative health implications. Each scrubs seems to have its own unique combination of ingredients, so advise you check the label of each type you get.

The ingredients feel like quality on your skin. I love scrubs but I am defiantly am picky about the ingredients and how they feel on my skin. The scent is strong and amazing. My skin feels great ever time I use the scrub. Leaves my skin feeling fresh and moisturized. The scrub is a little more course than I normally have use, but it works perfectly. I normally have sensitive skin to different fragrances and tend to get rashes or irritation so I am very cautions when trying something new. My sister (also has sensitive skin), tried the scrub and found the scent a little to strong for her liking. I had no issues and loved this scrub, in fact I ordered 2 other scents from this same brand.

I love sugar scrubs. I specifically chose one with as little added scent as possible. I work in a facility that does not want staff to wear perfumes. This scrub makes my skin feel soft and silky, especially my elbows and knees. I randomly use it on my face. There is a smooth creamy residue, but after I have toweled off I may still use some lotion on my legs or moisturizer on my face. I like it enough that I plan on putting some in some Christmas gift bags.

I don't think I have sensitive skin, but the granules of sugar in this product are a bit rough to me. Not enough for me to stop using it. But I definitely can't rub this on my skin with any real vigor. I take great care to make sure I'm rubbing thoroughly, but gently. Now, having said that, i like the results. Leaves my skin smooth. And I notice my shaves being easier when I exfoliate with this first as well. I dont use it often, maybe once every 7-10 days. Not a big fan of the scent... a bit artificial syrupy. I have moisturizers made with real brown sugar oil, and this is not that. (But it doesn't pretend to be either. I was just hoping it might smell similar). Also, brown sugar sounded better to me than some of their other scents. If I buy a tree hut scrub again, I'll likely try another scent.

At first I couldn’t stand the smell and found it quite masculine. I kept it for my husband, but now I use it all the time and actually I love it. I think this brown sugar scent grows on you. You just have to get past the initial surprise that it’s not really a sweet bakery smell. I don’t think it lasts on my body so really I’m the only one who has to enjoy it, and the scrubby texture is just right for me.

The scent is amazing!I would buy again for this!Also, I really like how the containers can be used again but for storing small things- great to reuse.The scrub is awesome, it helps me with the heat bumps I get on my skin and with exfoliating so I feel clean.I really feel like feeling clean can help your general mood- and this helps in so many ways.

I looked at ALOT of sugar scrubs and finally decided on this one.Boy, am I glad I did. I love the feeling of my skin after I'm done using this in the shower.I swear it feels like I shaved my arms or something.Also, a little goes along way, so its a good price for how much you get.I don't see myself needing to buy another one for a while.

AMAZING! This product is everything I wanted and more! My skin is so soft, I can't get over it. I never expected these results, it exfoliates and moisturizes. My skin feels amazing. I also like the scent of the brown sugar scrub, it is more subdued than their other scents, but it has a nice sweet scent kind of like vanilla and a little nutty.
