If you want this setup to work on a bass guitar you'll have to use a different pickup as the one that's shipped with it isn't long enough and will only pick up 3 strings on bass. Thunder is not too great.

Sounds good not great but good good value easy functioning

No Template comes with installI took the foam padding from around the control volume/EQ and XLR/1/4" jack and placed it where I wanted to cut the hole. Picture #1I use a 45 tooth fret saw, because that what I have I know there are better saws for this. I cut the hole small and adjust with files and sand paper. I also use heat glue veneer to re-enforce the the openings and give the screws a little more to bit in to. Start to finish I took about 90 minutes.Advice if you're going to give your acoustic a built in pick-up, work slow and make sure your guitar is not able to move.OK now for the sound test:I plugged in to the mixing board and recorded to the computer and plugged in to a Pevey X600-B with a Gollehon with a single 18" a 6" horn. There is a lot of range with the EQ the guitar is bright and the EQ can smooth out the highs. So far I'm happy with my choice but it's only been 6 hours from receiving the delivery.I think I would buy this again

It doesn't fit the gutiar I was trying to replace. pre-amp and the battery/insturment plug-in is the wrong size and curve... now im trying to find another. Not sure how it sounds yet, trying to fit it in a older cheaper gutiar I have. Hopefully it doesnt sound like crap.
