The Greg Myerson RattleSinker is our flagship offering; it was the secret weapon Greg used in attracting each of his four world record striped bass. This unique piece of fishing tackle that performs three functions: it uses sound to attract preyfish to your bait, it helps to place your bait in thegm-rs-camo-green-hero.png vicinity of these fish and it protects you and the environment from lead. Rattle Sound Technology It is a well-known fact that the most developed sense in many fish is their hearing; they hear with their inner ear as well as feel noise vibration along their lateral line. Research also shows that sound travels much, much further in water. Given these facts, Greg Myerson set out to create a way to attract fish using sound. After years of observation and experimentation, Greg developed a theory that many big fish are attracted to the sound of their favorite food: crustaceans. Through both first-hand experience and countless tales from other anglers, Greg observed that baby lobsters, crabs, shrimp or crayfish were often found in the bellies of a variety of larger (and therefore older and more discriminating) fish. Be they striped bass, large or small mouth bass, bluefish, tautog, snapper or snook, the big fish set themselves up to dine on their favorite meal. So he set out to mimic that sound with his RattleSinkers and the results speak for themselves: four broken striped bass records, including his most recent of 81 pounds, 15 ounces. Right for varied species and fishing situations So the Rattle technology attracts fish; it also needs to place your bait in their vicinity. How is this done? Well, by being a sinker, of course. A RattleSinker , which we create by hollowing the versatile bank-style sinker and fitting it with our Rattle technology. Because this sound technology is applicible across a variety of species, both fresh and salt-water and for a variety of fishing techniqes.
