Predictable suspense about kids...
The story blurb intrigued me and I bit and made the purchase. I wondered about the stalking, the kidnapping and imprisonment to condition the female character, Lily... and basically almost brainwashing her. But an ok, predictably entertaining story with many loose threads and holes. I liked "J"...he has a plan of revenge and he methodically plots his revenge, putting it into motion --- taking years to exact his plan. But...(and here's the possible spoilers)....*****************POSSIBLE SPOILERS*****************1. WHO was the girl in the kitchen at the party detaining Max? Max didn't know her and had never seen her before so it couldn't have been Charlotte...we're never told.2. WHY was it necessary to attempt to eliminate Lily's family? Money...yes I know...but...Why such extreme measures? Is it simply because someone's a psycho-butt?3. WHY did Lily blame J in the end for anything? I mean, she's supposed to be so smart; can't she figure this out and see it for what it is?4. WHERE was Charlotte living...where did she get her money. And J....how did he support himself when he didn't have a job yet was able to rent a car, travel to California, buy flowers, rent a tux, install AV equipment/camera's, and spend his days stalking, etc. (??!?)5. Kids slip through the Foster System all the time, but the blatant sexual abuse inflicted upon our hero and family was above and beyond realistic.6. J was in Juvenile Detention...not prison. You don't get the kind of tattoos he had in Juvie. You don't get put in solitary confinement in Juvie...not for two weeks...and you don't have a parole officer three years later. You don't have a parole officer at all...it's a counsellor you report to.I didn't realize this story was about kids for crying out loud!...17, 18 and 20 y/o kids! <shaking my head>...I really don't know what prompted me to purchase this book...maybe it was a freebie, I dunno because I downloaded it 9 months ago and I've slept since them. The story is predictable and the writing is good.

Stalker Romance
“Time’s up, Beautiful”This is the first Stalker booker I have read. All I can really say is WOW!!! Jarrod and Lily’s story is so full of suspense, twists and turns it will have you on the edge of your seat. There were a few connections that I was able to pick up earlier in the book, but the real twist hadn’t even come to mind till it was playing out on the pages. It’s like a dark modern day beauty and the beast...I don’t want to give away to much of this book as you really need to read it without having read any spoilers as it will ruin the suspense of it. Although having said that this book does contain one chapter that can cause triggers for childhood sexual abuse. For six months Lily has had a feeling of being watched and has been receiving lilies at her front door ever day. A silly game of Seven Minutes In Heaven, has Lily locked in a bathroom with a stranger which she shares the best kiss she has ever had. But it also leaves Lily with so many questions with no answers.Jarrod was on a mission of revenge. He had a plan to get it but never expected to fall for her. When his plan backfires, he has no choice but to be honest. The pain, guilt and scars he has had to carry will make you fall more in love with him, if you hadn’t already.

Not all scars are seen...
Jaimie Roberts is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Each book of hers I pickup, I fall in serious lust with...When you read the blurb of Scars, you think "oh, yea, this is going to be another of the same type of book." Wrong. I was so wrong and I'm glad I took the time to read it.Lily has it all. She comes from a good, well off family. Her parents are together and in love. She's close to her sister and they don't want for anything. But Lily always felt a little off...Enter SMIHG (you'll understand those letters of you read the book) guy. He's mysterious, sexy, smells divine, but he's out for revenge... Can the girl he watches change such a damaged soul?Whew, my emotions went through the ringer with this book! I both loved and loathed SMIHG. I may have even seriously lusted after him! If you're looking for something fresh, this is the book for you! There are dark themes and triggers in the book. You've been warned.

Sexy, angst-filled mystery with a touch of sweet
Wow...this was another mind-blowing and sexy thriller from Jaimie Roberts and I was kept on the edge of my seat through the entire book. Who was J and what did he plan for Lily? Why was he so bent on having her under his control and where would it all lead? This one was all at once mysterious, sexy, angst-filled, depraved and then sweet and light with hints of darkness. I didn't see what was coming at the climax but figured out a few of the players before the crushing reveal...and it was a very interesting story indeed.I can't wait to read the next book because I have an idea what was in the bag...and want to see if I'm right!**** 4 **** "he would always be there to watch over her" stars

So close!
The dialogue killed this book for me. One of my biggest pet peeves when reading a book is when I constantly have to stop and roll my eyes at the unrealistic dialogue. The main characters of this story are teenagers/young adults . Why are they using "on the contrary" and "it is I who..." as part of their regular everyday vernacular? I really did think the plot was interesting and it did keep me in suspense while I read it. But, come on! Nobody talks like that!

5 BEAUTIFUL STARS
"Time's up, beautiful" I just want to cry, I don't want it to be over. I want more, so much more. I know an Author jumps for joy when they type 'The End' but as a reader, I didn't want to get to the end. I could have read on and on and on. The story was so intense, I was on the edge of my seat. I literally had no clue as to what the outcome would be. Usually I can see what is going to happen or at least have an idea, but not even an inkling this time. High five Jaimie Roberts for keeping the mystery not only exciting but concealed till the time was most definitely right and my curiosity at an all time high.Lily is a young lady with her whole life ahead of her. She's a beautiful girl with a good heart, maybe a little to trusting, but who can grow through life without making mistakes. Life is a constant lesson, we learn as we grow. Lily has a great bunch of friends around her, most of them anyways, there is always one that messes up.When Lily believes she has a secret admirer, she doesn't confide in anyone, not even her closest friends. It's scary and exciting all at the same time. The admirer or stalker, whatever you want to call him because in this story he has no name to begin with, so I am not giving that out. He's sweet but dangerous, he's sexy but scarred, he's thoughtful but scary, he's masterful but intense. Oh yeah, he's got it all going on. Honestly through the story I was thinking, Oh My God!! Who does that? and Jesus! I hope no one actually tries this for real. You know when your children watch stunts on television and the narrator tells them 'do not try this at home' well, this is fiction people, the events, scenes that take place in this book should never be copied. It's against the law to stalk someone. The secrets that are revealed will leave you stunned for sure. I just couldn't believe it. My mind was in a whirl, my heart beat was pounding, I thought it was going to pop through my chest. I won't lie, I was apprehensive about reading this book because dark reads are just not my thing, but it's not dark like that. It has a part in this book that will turn your stomach for sure but you will want to continue reading. This is one of those books that I hope everyone reads. You will be taken on the most exciting and intense journey. For now my time is up. I am off to seek other books out by this Author.

Stalkerlicious!!
Loved this book. Lily is a girl who has it all the kind of perfect family most would wish to have. The past six months or so she's been receiving a flower on her doorstep everyday. She has a secret admirer and she's not overly concerned about it.Then one day he makes contact and things escalate rather quickly from there. Her stalker known to her only as J knows exactly who Lily is and who her family are. He's after something and Lily is is perfect way to get it.I was so engrossed in this story I wanted to know who J was and what his motives were with Lily. I was surprised to say the least. This story wasn't at all what I expected, and my heart actually hurt for J the more I found out about him. I honestly loved this guy.The book was full of unexpected secrets and twists I didn't see coming and I absolutely loved it.

What a intense angst ride
Lilly is the perfect girl has the perfect life parents and friends 6 months before her 18th birthday she starts receiving flowers lilies from a secret admirer, he makes himself known at a house party while Lilly is dared to play 7 minutes in heaven and he’s unlikely anything or anyone she knows he keeps his identity hidden and although this should scare her it has the opposite affect he makes her body hum and all her senses come alive. But he’s hiding dark secrets that threaten her peaceful existence and could kill her .This book was amazing and my first ever read by Jamie and although I did crave more darkness from it ( that’s purely because I love a good dark read for my black heart) I loved it and couldn’t put it down .I’d give it 7⭐️ out off 10 if I could rate it more definitely recommend

Fantasic Dark Stalker story.
Fantasic dark stalker book that i knew as soon as i read the blurb that i was going to love this story, and boy did i.Lily is a mature 17 soon to be 18 year old who is a humble girl and a perfect daughter with hard working perfect parents, what possibly could any stalker want to hurt this girl.J is the stalker with a plan,he leaves a flower at her front door every day for months before he ups his game and needs to get her to trust him, he arranges to be at a place where she is going to be in the dark so she can't see him but she can feel his body pressed up against hers and hear's only his voice for a short time before his words of 'time's up beautiful' then dissappears. The chemistry between Lily and J gets stronger and stronger for them both to just ignore, but J's plan is not looking good, as he knows it will devastate Lily and change her life as she knows it when she finds out the truth. There is some hot steamy and erotic scenes with lots of romance throughout this story with some mystery and twists along the way.I love Jaimie Roberts books she is not affraid to go there and keeps you hooked and hooked hard till you have devoured this book,it was a page turner at it's very best,if you like a dark read this is definitely the book to pick up.

Worth a read
Really liked this book it intrigues you until the end but I did feel the first 50% -60% was slow in pace there just wasn't any need for certain character conversations and events to be drawn out, when it finally all started to slot together I don't think there was enough time to tie loose ends up, not that it felt rushed because it didn't but the whole 'you know who' bit escalated quickly and there was never a reason for it beyond money. Like why now? And let's not forget that you can't just plan that kind of accident and know the outcome based on what side your sitting so that was far fetched lol also the revenge plot on Lily when it was revealed was a little weak considering the rest of it. Oh and I also suspected the Charlotte part too from the offset but make no .mistake this is a really good read that had me neglecting my kids a little to finish lol
