Fractal Design Node 605 Computer Case

I've finally started to build my HTPC and have been deciding on what case for a while. The Fractal Node 605 is by far the best looking, and well built case and actually worthy of it's pretty steep price tag. Fitting perfectly in to a decent home cinema / Hi-Fi setup with its clean high end look. Especially like the dampened flap at the front and the sound proofing material inside. For those reviewers complaining about having to use a small optical drive, I really see no problem. It clearly states this everywhere on the web, and personally I think it looks better for this as it can be then hidden behind the flap. Yes when using an optical drive, you can only use a mATX board or smaller again stated in the spec. But there is plenty of choice of this form factor everywhere and are always just as good and usually cheaper. You can fit large graphics cards into this case, but I'd recommend getting one with a good cooler as you would then be messing with the case airflow, also you may have to remove one hdd cage which only gives you space for 2 drives. Which lets be honest now 4TB are available. It's plenty. My first case however did have a small scratch so I had to send it back to amazon, the customer service was outstanding however and they replaced my item and collected the old one within 3 days. If your after a high quality amazing looking case, buy this. Also seemed to be cheaper on amazon by a fair amount than anywhere else.

Das Gehäuse ist optisch eines der schönsten HTPC Gehäuse, die ich finden konnte. Er ist schlicht und absolut edel in der Erscheinung und nichts erinnert an einem PC, bestenfalls an eine Endstufe.Ich wollte das Gehäuse allerdings nicht als HTPC nutzen, da ich eh keine Anlage oder TV habe, sondern als schönen, unauffälligen PC im Arbeitszimmer. Gerade die Tiefe ist hervorragend für das Kallax Regal, weshalb ich mich für dieses Gehäuse entschied.Trotz der angegebenen Maße musste ich feststellen, dass der Tower doch noch kleiner ist, als vermutet. Somit würde weder mein CPU Lüfer, noch meine 30cm Grafikkarte passen. Es sind nur 1-2cm, aber bei diesem engen Gehäuse sind diese bereits entscheidend. Sehr schade!Trotzdem bekommt Amazon für den Service und Fractal für dieses tolle Gehäuse volle Punktzahl, denn wer ihn als HTPC benutzt, hat ganz andere Komponenten und keine großen Kühllösungen oder eine starke Grafikkarte wie ich. Ich hatte gehofft es würde für mich passen, dem war leider nicht so. Trotz allem, ein wunderschönes Gehäuse!

Verarbeitung und Aufbau überzeugen in allen Belangen.Gute Schalldämmung und ausreichend Platz für ein ATX-Board.Die Lüfter und die Drehzahlsteuerung über den seitlichen Schalter funktionieren gut.Allerdings empfehlt es sich, einen der beiden Lüfter umzudrehen. Im Auslieferungszustand blasen beide nach Ihnen.Alternativ sollte ein 3. oder 4. Lüfter eingebaut werden, der nach außen dreht.In meinen Gehäuse steckt ein Xeon 3.5 GHz und eine GTX950.Mit den 2 Standardlüftern bleibt alles kühl.Kann das Gehäuse uneingeschränkt empfehlen.
