The Beginner Art Book for Kids: Learn How to Draw, Paint, Sculpt, and More! Paperback – October 29, 2019

This is a really great book! It's wonderful for kids with all levels of skill, and provides projects as simple or as complex as you like. Easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions (with photographs to help every step of the way) makes completing the projects a breeze.My favorite part is the "mess meter" that shows you just how messy a project is, so there are no unpleasant surprises after you start it.

I purchased this book for our 7 yr old granddaughter and intended to set it back for Christmas. She found it and cannot wait to get started on her projects. She is making lists of art supplies and carries the book around like she's afraid someone is going to take it from her :-)

Good beginners art book, for short class periods in elementary art.

I've just started teaching art again, and for a younger group than I was used to; so needed a bit of a refresher. So many fun, easy to- follow projects. Excellent photos. Highly recommend!.. especially for the younger ones.

I bought this for my niece, and there is honestly no other product like it. Original crafts for varying levels. I plan on making this my go-to Christmas gift for the kids in our family!!!

This book has some fun ideas... that’s what I like... the thing I do NOT like is that the book gives a very brief summary of what a genre of art is & a craft idea for that genre but then nothing more. It’s VERY beginners... almost too beginners even for most beginners. The ideas are not the greatest ideas. Most are sloppy looking and imo disappointing for a color book of this quality... the ideas are something I’d expect to see in some type of free flyer... not a beautiful book like this. There are a few good ideas, but they are the exception. The information about each genre is so limited that the books value isn’t recovered by teaching the child about art in that manner either. The book in its entirety is just disappointing. I wanted to love it. I am a Grammy who loves to teach my littles new arts/crafts and ideas. The ideas in this book were things we had done around age 2-3 and the pictures in the book were so sloppily done art work that my littles thought the book was trying to be funny. I found that disappointing too... I like art books for kids that represent a true concept of children’s abilities... showing pictures of age appropriate art work. (Coloring inside the lines at 7 years old for example vs scribbles at 2 years old). This book is one you may want to browse at a library... but it’s not one worth the space on your own bookshelf.

My 9 year old son love this art book! He drew a robot and was super proud of how it turned out due to this book helping him.

Book looks like it will be both fun & helpful to my grandson as he practices drawing. He was excited.
