Amazing!! Works way more effectively than shock collars!
Pros:- Very effective- Nicer to dogs vs shock collars- Can snap a defensive dog into a calmer state- The citronella spray smells nice or smells like nothing at all (I've had 2 different scents)Cons:- Overly sensitive. It can spray from other loud noises near by- Bulky on smaller dogs- First one broke after 3 months of useI have 2 dachshunds, Winnie & Cooper... both extreme barkers. Winnie will constantly bark at the sound of anything... cars, people walking by the apartment, knocks, sounds I can't even hear... etc! She'll run to the door or to a near by window to bark and snarl at everything. Cooper often joins but his main issue is aggression towards other dogs when on walks. The PetSafe anti-bark spray collar helped tremendously with both problems!I've tried all sorts of training tactics but after years of failed attempts I had purchased the PetSafe shock collars for both dogs. Winnie figured out how to bark and growl without setting it off and even when she would set it off it wouldn't stop her barking. Cooper was terrified of the shock collar and would shriek if it were to ever shock him. :( The saddest thing ever!! So I decided to try the spray collar instead since it seemed nicer, although I doubted its ability to stop the barking. The spray collar went on Winnie first. One bark, it sprayed her in the face and stopped her dead in her tracks before she could make it to her usual spot on the window. She had a look of confusion. She heard another sound and started growling. It sprayed her again. She immediately went from her aggressive/defensive mode to a calm submissive state. Amazing! The shock collar wasn't sensitive enough to detect growling but the spray collar is. The spray collar also doesn't have a pointy plastic part that protrudes into the dog's neck to pick up vibrations like the shock collars did. It's smooth and flat, much more comfy for the dogs. Then we tried the spray collar on Cooper. We took him for a walk and saw other dogs. Cooper immediately went into his aggressive bark, growl, and attack mode. At the first bark, it sprayed him and he jumped back and immediately backed away from the other dog and went to stand next to my boyfriend in a calm, submissive state. That was the first time in 5 years I've seen Cooper back away from another dog that calmly.2 cons I've experienced with the spray collar:1) The collar is sensitive... If Winnie barks loudly next to Cooper, it sets off Cooper's collar although he was sitting there quietly.2) I've had to purchase a second collar because the first one broke after about 3 month's use. The area where you refill the spray broke and kept leaking out the fluid and eventually the entire collar stopped working.Overall, this has been an amazing product and I highly recommend it for others with loud barkers. :)

Wish I had a 6th star to add to this product. Life changing.
We have an 11 month old 7 lb. Yorkie, who aside from her separation anxiety/barking is a good little dog. She would go in "panic mode" when we left her alone (even though we have a cat, she wanted the human companionship). She wouldn't just bark for a few minutes, no, but for hours, only stopping when she would collapse of pure exhaustion. When we returned she would have peed or pooped and quite often in her state of panic, she would run through the poop and you can just imagine the mess. We resorted to putting her in diapers when we left her alone. We were living with our own anxiety about her barking, having to have pet-sitters or find pet friendly venues to take her on outings. We were just waiting for the complaints from the very patient neighbors. I bought the Cesar Milan books, read everything I could and implemented every training technique possible to try to stop the barking. Nothing worked! Fortunately, I have a friend who uses these collars on her dogs, and I looked up bark collars on the net and read all the comparisons and chose this one. (As a side note, I found the fact that these Citronella collars are more effective than shock collars, very comforting, as I would never consider using such a method on my dog.)We anxiously awaited the day for the product to arrive. In preparation, I decided to start aqcuainting the dog with the idea of a spray of water as punishment for barking, by using a water spray bottle on the mist setting. I would have the water bottle right outside the door and when she started the barking (as soon as we clicked the door shut), I would step back in and give her a quick spray and telling her "No bark, bad girl!". She would stop for a minute and of course continue barking. When the package arrived I was so excited but a little dismayed that the instructions suggested putting the collar on the dog in un-armed mode (no spray, no battery) for about a week. Not wanting to create any variable that might make this experiment all go wrong, I did exactly that. I put it on her from time to time and she didn't seem to mind at all.One week later, my husband returns from a business trip and we started day one of "Operation No Bark". I followed the instructions to the T, which said do not allow the dog to see you filling the tank with the citronella. As she has said "Separation Anxiety" I had to slip into the bathroom and lock her out while doing it! I put the batteries in, and placed the collar on her. The moment we were ready to step out the door, I turned the switch to the "on" position. We stepped out. Within one second we heard the usual high pitched yelp, but it was kind of cut short and then half a yelp and then...nothing! The glorious sound of silence. We left her for about 2 hours that first day. Day two, same thing, but this time only half a yelp, and no more barking, we left her for four hours. Neighbors assured me no barking went on while we were away. The first two days we still used the diaper and indeed she had wet in them. But, we noticed after using the bark collar the third and fourth time that she seemed calmer when we returned, as if not barking helped her to not escalate into such a panic attack. She stopped wetting her diapers and we stopped putting them on her.I don't think she associates the collar with the spray, so I always pick her up immediately when I return and switch it into "off" mode before she gets sprayed for her yelps of happiness. I remove the collar after a while to keep her from having the association. The first few times, I felt sorry for the side effect of her not barking even in a joyous fashion like when my husband would return home, or playing with the cat, (even when she didn't have the collar on). But eventually she began to bark at the "appropriate" times as she figured out it only happened when we left her. Now everyone is happy, and I want to give the inventor of this collar a huge hug and my deepest gratitude!

Fantastic Product !!
I am more than happy to tell you IT WORKED with flying colours!!!!! Just amazing.I have 2 patterdale x jack russels, i hear you ask, yes they are a handful, but wouldnt be without them ! :)They are 5 years old and the 1 is a very nervous, more jack russel than patt, he barks loudly at the post man, passers by,relatives who come to mom and dads door every single time, even the ones who he is used to, hes fine after about 5 mins of them being in the house but getting them past him was (yes i am writing WAS) a nightmare! It was also rubbing off on his brother thinking it was the thing to do!I am moving into a new property of my own shortly and was worried at the thought of them barking when i wasnt there, hence not wanting to get off on the wrong foot with new neighbours. So after checking with my vet, who said it wont hurt to try the spray collar and reading about 30 of these reviews, i ordered it, in hope it might help my little man get out of, what i think had just become constant habbit barking. I dont ever want to stop him barking completley, because that whats dogs do :) but just stop him from barking at every tiny thing, when there really was no need.I really wasnt sure it would work on my dog, due to his nature and him being a very persistant barker and a very strong willed character, as i believe most terriers are.It took 2 days maximum for him to realise with the collar on that he really didnt need to bark at everything. His brother hasnt had to have the collar on, because he has calmed down, again its rubbing off on him :) win win!!My visiting family are amazed at this result and cant believe how quick it has worked, as am i and what a different and more pleasant little character he is.I ordered the collar, spay and battery set then ordered a seperate extra battery as i believed i would be needing it, but i still have the original battery in the collar and have only filled the collar up once when i first had it.I have left the collar purched on a small table by the front door as a little reminder for him, just in case he gets the urge to slip into old habbits.I cant recommend this product enough to anyone who is struggling with over barking :) i have passed the details of it to my vet as 1 of their clients wanted to no if they were aware of any product that was any good :)The collar is a good size, he has a small neck and it adjusted nicely to accomadate this, the box that holds the spray, does look big at first but it wasnt to big for him to cope with at all, it is easy to fill up with the canister, it gave a short citronella smelling spray when he barked and the rest is history.Give it a whirl, its made my life SO much BETTER :)

Does the trick for us!
Was a little sceptical about this working, but had to try something, as our dog had started barking when we were out of the house. We could hear her barking sometimes as we returned home and approached the house, but just thought that she had heard the car pull up, or could sense in some way that we were home.It was only after talking to a neighbour that we found out that she had been barking continuously when we were out, over a long period of time. The spray collar comes with clear instructions. There's no adjustments that you need to make apart from adjusting the length of the collar to fit your own pet. Then it's just a case of switching it on and fitting the collar to your pet.The first few times it was used, we would return home and be able to smell the citronella indicating that she had barked whilst we were out, but after a week or so of use, we could return home and not smell any citronella odour indicating possibly that the dog had not barked while we were out.One thing that we found was that you are unable to tell how much of the spray is left in the collar, as there is no window to view the contents. Our answer to this was to use a set of digital kitchen scales to weigh the collar as we returned home to check if the spray had been activated, and this worked well, allowing us to top it up from the refill can as necessary. We have been using the collar for about a month now, and our dog has definately stopped barking when she is alone in the house. On one occasion we forgot to fit the collar, and returned home to hear her barking, so don't expect this to be a quick fix.... our dog is smart enough to know that barking + collar = stinky spray... whilst no collar = let's bark!Since then, on the occasional times we've forgot to fit the collar we have not heard any barking, so maybe it's starting to break the habit completely.Buying it from Amazon is a big saving with the exact same product costing more than twice the price in our local pet superstore. If I were to consider buying one for the first time I would buy the model which has the window which shows the remaining contents (this is also a water resistant model)Delivery, even on the super saver method was incredibly fast, although the delivery man left the parcel outside our door and it could have potentially been stolen! The anti bark collar worked great for our dog, and I am pleased to recommend it to anyone else who has problems.

I love this and this is why... my story
Okay, let's start from the beginning... this product saved our dog from going to a new owner, and saved our sanity...Our seven year old son absolutley loves Max, our one and a half year old Schnoodle (half Schnauzer, half Poodle) dog. That's all well and good, but when Max was left home alone, he didn't bark like the dogs in the rest of the reviews, no, he howled as load as he could. You wouldn't believe how loud Max could howl. We came home from a night out to hear him howling at the top of his voice. We could hear him from inside the car as we were pulling up. What a worry that was, at midnight! It was so emabarrassing: the neighbours, what would they think?! My wife was so upset with the noise that she got really low. This pattern of howling behaviour continued for months and we couldn't leave him at home, we had to take him everywhere with us, or employ a dog sitter at a tidy sum each time. We couldn't even take our son to a restaurant because the dog couldn't be left. What a pain!!! In fact he even did this when we were upstairs or out of sight in the house. So, in desperation I looked on Amazon for the answer. I knew about electric colars and was tempted, but wanted something a little bit more gentle. I found the citronella collar and read the reviews. A promising solution. You can imagine, by now we were pulling our hair our and were even thinking about getting rid of this howling dog!The collar arrived in the post and I put it straight on Max and waited... magic!!! After leaving him again, a completely new dog. No more howling. What a refief. After activating the collar, I set the tape recorder on my phone and went out. Not a peep! Only a slight wehimper and then Shhhhzzzz, the citronella collar activated, gave Max a quick blast of the orange/lemon scent (which they don't like) and then silence! Bliss! In fact, it only took a couple of sessions for Max to stop whining completely and he's a lot calmer, too. He used to get very worked up when he knew we were going out, but now knows to settle in his bed with his treats. He seems a much happier dog. It is a great, humane, way to solve the noise problem, with the added benefit of a calm, chilled dog, who is a pleasure to have around.Since then, it's been plain sailing all the way... great, we get to keep Max, our son is happy with his dog and so are we!!! No more howling, great!!!Do I recommend this product to you?My advice is, don't even think about it, just click on the 'Buy' button! It worked for us, hope it works for you too! All the best, Andy (and a quieter Max!)

Cant Believe It!
I have a little collie x lab pup, he's 7 months, and he barks at absolutely everything and absolutely nothing. He learned within the first few weeks of taking him home, to bark at the door when he needed out for the loo. This would be fantastic if he didnt soon figure out that barking at the door got him a free pass outside even if he didnt need the loo! Now, as soon as the door is open, he runs out and barks at the top of his lungs continuosly. There doesn't seem to be anything provoking the barking, but if there are birds, people passing etc it does become more enthusiastic..There is a dog a few houses away and the way he holds his head up and barks seems he may be shouting on his neighbour.. but I don't know.Anyway, we bought the spray collar in complete desparation - he honestly barks every single second he's left unattended. Put the collar on him and let him outside. He barked once, got the fright of his life at the spray and ran back in. We took it off him and let him be for a while, then repeated the process. He barked once, ran through the spray and barked again, gave up and came back inside again.. We kept the collar off him for the rest of the day.The next day we put the collar on him and let him out and now, one bark and he stops, but he doesn't run inside anymore, he just seems to know it will happen when he barks. Only thing is he does normally do the 'Speak' command when he's getting a treat.. he definately doesn't do that anymore! his wee whispered bark was terribly cute when he wanted his treat haha!Would recommend this collar to anybody, honestly read all these reviews thinking.. well maybe it won't work for mine because he's so stubborn and so excited about everything.. but it really does work. cannot honestly believe it! So good to be able to let him run around the garden without having to turn the television up full blast and put up with complaints from the neighbours!! well worth the money! :)Only thing to be concerned about is the strange battery it takes.. because I'm leaving him with it on during the day.. I don't know how long the battery will last.. but I'll come back and let you all know when the battery does run out! :)Emma

AMAZING ANTI BARK COLLAR
I have to say that i was very very sceptical about this collar actually working as ive purchased things like this in the past which have been no good. My husband insisted it would not work and told me to stop wasting money. One of my 3 dogs was a problem barker which seemed to be encouraging the others to join in barking with her and i was beginning to realise this was understandably annoying the neighbours aswell as ourselves. I looked in pets 4 homes and the equivelant collar was around £100.00 so after reading the positive reviews and seeing the good price for this collar i ordered it. I have prime so it arrived the next day just as my dogs were barking in the garden. I read the instructions and fitted the collar to one of my dogs . One spray and she seemed absolutely stunned and confused. One more bark and then SILENCE. I left it on her for under half an hour at first then done the same with the other 2 dogs. I gradually increased the time each wore it for and the results are amazing. I have now had this for over a week and have only needed to refill it twice. All 3 dogs seem to have calmed down so much and actually seem alot more relaxed in themselves. The 1 collar seems enough to rotate amongst the 3 of the dogs as when 1 is wearing it it seems to discourage the others from barking also. Even when none of them are wearing it now the barking is so minimal and quiet. I am however still putting it on them for short periods now and then so that hopefully their good behaviour continues. I think this collar is amazing and i very rarelly write reviews but am only writing this one to help others. I don't think it would be fair to put the collar onto young puppies and i do believe that dogs should be allowed to bark sometimes as this is what they are supposed to do and especially often barking it is to alert you to intruders etc etc but for me my dogs were becoming real nusience barkers , barking at anything and everything and this is no fun for anyone !!! I highly reccomend this collar to anyone in the same situation as myself. It is the best money i have spent in a very long time. As they say SILENCE IS GOLDEN !!!!!!
