I've been using this lamp for 5+ years (original bulb, too!). It's great...
I bought this, from Amazon, in April 2011. It is still working great, with the original light bulb! I have had no problems curing Magic Glos with this lamp. Rather than using a very thick layer of the product, I find pouring and curing several thin layers works great. It is used, on average every few days, though I may not use it as often during the more temperate times of the year.I keep it stored in the original box, which may explain its longevity.I bought this, no freebies or discounts for so-called "honest" reviews. I wish Amazon would not allow companies to offer such incentives.

The good AND the bad!!!
I had ordered the Magic Gloss first, W/O the light! I thought I could just use a black light to harden the gloss, but that didn’t work. This light works WONDERFULLY! My ONLY complaint is that it’s still a little too small for some of my projects. For example: my iPhone7 Plus cases do not fit in the space provided! Also, I have had the DARNDEST time getting the lightbulb into the slot and getting it to “click!” Plus it keeps falling out! There needs to be a better way, provided, to insert and connect the lightbulb! I have very small hands and I STILL have a hard time! Otherwise, I LOVE!

This light hates my house!
This light absolutely refused to cure the Magic Glos resin in my house even after an hour or more of "baking", I'm left with a slightly tacky surface that is unpleasant to touch and keeps fingerprints. I tried EVERYTHING - new bulb, new Glos, dehumidifier on full blast, AC on all night. It cured to a smooth finish exactly ONCE, when the weather outside was beautiful and it was nice inside as well. The point of buying a light though was so that I'm NOT at the mercy of the weather!I was able to get the resin to cure outside in the sun within minutes, so it's not a resin problem, plus it gave me something to compare the sticky resin to, so I could be sure it wasn't "just me".I took the light into my office one day & cured a test piece of resin under my desk in about 15-20 minutes. The finish was smooth and hard, like it's supposed to be. To save on supplies I've been testing with small drops of resin on packing tape, so it's not an issue of a chemical reaction or anything. The problem is that the resin just won't cure with the light, inside my house.I have NO idea what it is in my house that's causing this problem and am at my wits end. All I can think of to try next is a unit with higher wattage, but I'm reluctant since I've already sunk so much money and time into this project.I don't mean to discourage others from buying this light (my friend has had amazing results with it, but her climate is very different from mine) because in the right environment, it's fantastic. I just don't have the right environment I'm sorry to say.I would like to add that my seller, Beadaholique, couldn't have been more helpful while I was trying to figure this out. I would buy from him again in a minute.

The light keeps falling out
Great concept - I like the fact there is no timer I have to keep resetting. The downfall is the light bulb keeps falling out. I am constantly battling it. I would send back but no worth the trouble from where I live.

Light works well ...but resin is maddening!
I guess the UV light works but I found out a lot of my friends who tried it just gave up. Lisa Pavelka's resin domes incredibly but you can't make it stay at the edges. Another layer seems to run up hill and just domes more.

there are better ones for less
Very tiny and it came with a bump under the silver layer .I had to take it apart and smooth that out in order to be able to use it.Not worth 40 dollars, there are better ones for less.

I have to hit the top to get the light on. Once it's on it works great

Working great in Boston winter
I was a little worried after reading the review which said items never dried, but the product is working perfectly in my oil heated house in Boston. I am delighted to get such a smooth shiny glaze without having to use TLS or Kato Clear liquid polymer.
