Andrew Grey Never Fails To Deliver
I have read so many Andrew Grey books, and loved them all. I was reticent to buy this one because I'm not big on those "trapped", "kidnapped" or "tortured" novels because I just do not enjoy watching people suffer. So, I had put this one off.Roman is a successful Broadway choreographer, Malik has his own cyber-security business. The book opens on their wedding day. Malik doesn't show. Of course, he's been kidnapped and held in a cold, windowless cell and his only company is a bag of MacDonald's food (cruel and unusual punishment) a couple times a day. He manages to get help and gets out. When he does, it leads to all kinds of mayhem as his captors try to kill him and his lover. Finally, in a trip to London, they find out who and why - and their lives change, permanently. There are so many good things about this book that you'll just have to read it yourself - I can't possibly list them all. But there's a couple I want to mention. Malik's backstory is told as he languishes in the dark cell, and it's not pretty. It is only Roman's love that has saved him from a dark and lonely future because of the scars of an indescribably traumatic youth. The other is that the incarceration in his windowless prison is, fortunately, quite short and thus, bearable.I should have known it would be, because Andrew Grey is simply the master. He manages to mix adventure, action, mystery and romance with a light seasoning of not-too-graphic sex (the way I like it!) and produce one more page burner. I read it, pretty much, in a single sitting, and breathlessly awaited the next threat, the next moment and the inevitable Andrew Grey happily-ever-after.What made this book so attractive to me is that it shared some of the wonderful characters from his earlier book, "Stranded", which made this a comfortable coming-home for the reader, rather than a journey to a new and alien territory.I know I'm just waxing rhapsodic. Some Andrew Grey books cover great, universal themes, some don't. This one doesn't, but it's such a sheer pleasure just to experience his writing that I've ordered two more of his books while writing this review.I can't recommend any Andrew Grey book enough. As I said earlier, he is the Master.

Great Book
If you love romances with a mystery plot then this is your book. Just think about the torment of not knowing if your loved one is dead or alive, or if he was captured with you, or if he really ran away from the alter, then you too couldn't help but feel their emotional hearts bleed with lost, and their frustration from not being able to do anything to help, but only to wait it out. The development of the story was incredible with lots of action and surprises, but at the same time portrayed their deep love for each other to the point both were willing to do anything to protect the other. I couldn't put this book down. Grey's books do that to me.

It was okay...
I didn't particularly like this book. It was too long. Not that I don't like reading long stories, but I like for the story to be a page turner. This was not. It was redundant... How many times could Roman and Malik say they love each other. ENOUGH ALREADY!!!! It took several chapters to discuss Malik's kidnapping. To fill the pages, he reminisces about meeting Roman or his childhood. I could hardly stay awake reading this boring story. Hope this authors other books are better. This one just wasn't for me.

Good story!
This was an exciting and dramatic story, well thought out and well written. With good characters, Roman and Malik are an established couple which I like to see.Malik's kidnapping was interesting, as was his solution to get himself out. Definitely felt sorry for poor Roman trying to figure out where his groom went! Great ending as well.Another good story from one of my favorite authors!

a great-paced reading.....
A great-paced story line and development of characters that brings this writing to a reality that involves the reader into the story and reality that one can identify with as being an experience we might all someday experience.
