The Toolmakers Airgun

As an Engineer, I consider this book a joke. No General Assembly drawings, No picture of the actual thing.I'd struggle to make anything with this.

The only picture of the rifle you will be building is the partial photo on the front of the book. There are no drawings or sketches of the finished rifle. The only drawings in the book are of the various parts needed to be fabricated for the rifle. The author assumes that anyone who is going to read the book has access to a machine shop and understands how to fabricate the parts. If you don't have access to a machine shop or a friend who has one then this book is probably not for you.

unusable even for a senior toolmaker, i m very deceived by the book despite the nice cover showing the finished airgun. The book is presenting the process of making all pieces, but has almost no drawings, not shown in 3d or in three views. moreover, the pieces could be shown as 1/1 scale but the author use two different scales, so you need to scan and enlarge or reduce before reprinting. no picture of the finished object are shown, and no assembly or global view is offered. the worst part is the use of metric system on some measurement and decimal inch on other. on the same piece, you get 6mm, or 0.820" or 1-5/8 " , and no conversion chart.i expected a good book as " building the shay" by kozo hiraoka.Despite what i have written, this airgun has a very beautiful design, it is a nice conception, i hope the author will make a second edition and an upgrade for those who have bought this edition.

Seems like a decent book at first glance. It would be nice if there were an assembled diagram of parts, but it seems like it was worth the price.

I should have looked at the reviews. This is a very basic book with few diagrams. If you are really interested in building your own air rifle from this book you will be disappointed.
