Lovin this thing!
I hesitated to buy this for like 3 months due to being concerned it would not sync easily or at all. But i decided to reconsider & get on Suunto website to research HRM & POD info more. It was indicated that my HRM was a "match" so i went for it. It was super simple to sync (practically did it on its own if you just follow simple instructions that come with POD & your HRM). My HRM finds the POD every time i have the 2 on & it is easy to use & seems very accurate. I love knowing how far i've run - & if my speed has increased or decreased. It actually makes me want to run a little harder every time, so the #'s don't go down. I love it! Definitely worth $50!

Current Pace and Elapsed Distance In One Convenient Package
Just what I needed to update the functionality of my Suunto T3D. Gives speed and distance measurements in a variety of ways - inluding current speed in miles per hour (or kilometers per hour for you metric system fans) and current pace in minutes per mile (or minutes per km). You can only show one or the other (speed or pace) at a time, but being able to see my current pace per mile will help greatly with my training efforts for upcoming races. I also like that with one of the views on my watch I can see my heart rate, elapsed distance in miles, and current pace per mile all on the same screen.Out of the box, the calibration was a bit off (I ran a 1 mile test, and it said 1.06) - but after calibrating it, it has been spot on for me. Calibration isn't really mentioned in the foot pod manual that comes with it, and the instructions on how to do it aren't provided either - you need to go back to the manual that comes with your watch for that info, as each Suunto does it slightly differently. And from what I have seen elsewhere, there may be certain Suunto watches you can't calibrate a pod with so you are stuck with out of the box calibration. I have the T3D and can confirm that this watch can be calibrated - for the rest - do a little googling and find out if it will work for you.The unit itself is tiny, and I don't even notice it's there. The 2 piece design snaps around your shoelaces without having to unlace your shoes - and it snaps together pretty snugly. I personally am not worried that it will come flying apart as I run, which was one concern I had going into it. This design works great for me, as I have different shoes for trail runs and street runs and in seconds I can swap it from one pair to the other depending on the terrain I am taking on that day.

Connection failed after multiple tries. I wasted couple of hours of my precious time trying to connect my Suunto Spartan Ultra watch to this device. I even change the battery but no luck. It's going back Today.Spoke to Suunto representative to find out this device is NOT bluetooth compatible. He even suggest using Stryd instead.Gave three stars for great customer service from Suunto and Amazon. Missing two stars for not bluetooth compatible.

Totally worth the money. Now I can log my indoor treadmill runs. Accuracy seems to be good. My outdoor runs were noted as equal distance without. Gives more detail on run graph.

Fantastic Foot Pod
I was introduced to the Suunto Ambit2 Watch, and the watch only came with the HR Strap, nothing else. i wanted to measure my Runs (indoor or outdoor) and this device was very expensive to purchase at a retail store. in comparison to 100$ on the street, online its almost 50% off. i highly recommend this product, works incredible well, and accurate. it can be used with any device that can read ANT+ devices, therefore you are not limited to just the Ambit2 Watch. i tested it with Strava Premium and it works great.the latch that attaches to your shoe laces feels like it may snap off at any time, therefore you can use the old holder for the Nike Pod Device (if you owned one) to secure it to your shoe. if you do not own one, i think its safe to keep it with the original snap in device as even to snap it off your laces its a bit hard. yet, i don't trust it much, i keep looking at my foot to see if i have not lost it.Overall, this product is fantastic.

Arrived quick! I am happy with this purchase as I can track distance and speed. It's very light; you won't even notice that it's there. Setup wasn't complicated for me, even though the instructions were mostly pictures. Connects right away every time I'm ready to go. Overall, I am happy with this buy.

Very nice product but it's Suunto
Very nice product but it's Suunto, need I say more! Paired instantly with my Suunto ambit 1 , ambit 2 sapphire & ambit 2R just by giving it a shake to activate it, even paired in seconds to my garmin fenix.I calibrated once and it has been good to go ever since.

Wouldn't pair because it shipped with a flat battery
I'm flagging this as 1 star purely because when it arrived it simply would not pair with my Ambit 2S no matter how much waving around I did to activate it.In the end one of the other 1 star reviews mentioned theirs had shipped with a flat battery so I ordered a replacement battery which I've just fitted and it's paired straight away. Not sure how common this issue is but while the replacement battery was only a couple of pounds it's annoying trying to find any help on the Suunto site about why it won't pair (there isn't any) and that having to put a new battery in is evidently not a one off issue.I don't know how the pod itself works, I'm sure it's fine but just wanted to flag up the battery issue in case another buyer finds theirs won't pair when it arrives.

Truth Tracker!
i was a little annoyed...at myself for not reading up on this enough and just ordering, as I wanted the GPS that overlays your runs on a map. This doesn't and I should have bought the other pod, my mistake. However, this has been very good for tracking time, speed and distance together with the heart rate belt, so tracking all events in Suunto's MovesCount is straight forward. It's simple to secure on your shoelace and although I've not used it for any rocky fell running yet, where it could possibly take a knock to displace it, it's remained very secure on my shoes.Good piece of kit if you want to track your time, speed and distance against your heart rate, energy burn and overall endurance.

Suunto Mini Foot pod
links to the watch with ease , i have Nike and Adidas running shoe's and the podfits neatly into the pocket of the sole in both makes of shoes which is a big plus.AS FOR ACCURACY, the tread mill said i ran 10k and the watch said 12k .It tells you the distance average speed and cadence. I would say at £60 its a bit steep but if you want some extra motivation in your work out its a handy thing to have.

another valuable tool for the tool box
ideal for treadmill training. i run the same route GPS and marking it on google maps show 5.03 mile, even after calibrating it twice the distance ranges from 5.02 down to 4.93. i put this down to varying foot stride when running up hill and down hills. on the treadmill very accurate. in use you do not feel it on you shoe. overall glad i purchased it. very good service from the seller.

Doesn't work
I have a Suunto 5, according to the information I found it should pair. No luck, tried new battery, tried reversing polarity, followed all recommendations on help sites & Suunto site. Does not work. Wasted my money
