Transferring your image: 1. Wash and dry chosen fabric. Place a protective backing underneath the design area, (piece of foil or plastic) to prevent the image maker seeping through. 2. Wear old clothes or an apron and cover the surface where you are working. 3. Select the image you to transfer and cut to the size required. 4. Place your image with the printed side UP on a piece of waxed paper or foil. Following the usage guide above, put sufficient amount of Dylon Image Maker for the first coat into a small dish/palette. Use clean brush to spread the paste over the whole of the image. The paste should be thick i.e. heavy enough so that the image can not be seen clearly. 5. pick up the wet print carefully and place on the fabric pasted side DOWN. Press the paper down to ensure there are no wrinkles. 6. Place a paper towel over the transfer and use a rolling pin to lightly press the paper to the fabric, rolling in alternate directions, continue this for 1 minute and ensure edges are adhered. Remove towel and use it to blot any excess paste. 7. Allow to dry at least 4 hours. We recommend leaving overnight. 8. When dry lay a water soaked sponge on the image and let it soak for a few minutes, until the paper is thoroughly wet. With your finger begin gently rubbing in the centre until the paper can be rolled off. The top layer of the paper will be removed easily and should be pulled in the centre of the image and picked up in a paper towel. Use the sponge to rub off the initial of fuzzy paper. 9. Leave the article to dry thoroughly. Put the Image Maker for the sealing coat onto yor image, rub it gently into the grain of the transfer with a brush or a clean scrap of material. Ensure that the entire surface of you image is moistened, this step seals your transferred image. 11. Allow the image to dry thoroughly, to be extra safe allow to dry overnight and do not wash within the first 72hours. Once the image is dry Dylon 3D Paints can be used to decorate your design.
