Buy a size up. Update:
I purchased a womens large, they do what they say they do (waterproof and warm) but they seem very tight. If you buy these order a size up to avoid the tight feeling. Update: what a wonderful company, I couldn't be more impressed with them! Thank you for all your help!

Very warm, but not "waterproof"
I've purchased these gloves twice. The first pair of gloves were primarily for work, handling lots of boxes in freezing temperatures. Some of the black material at the fingertips started to come off where the blue threaded seam is. This was a result from heavy work use. Additionally, the gloves are labled as waterproof beacuse there is a secondary lining inside. However, I found that when handling lots of ice coated or frozen objects, the items would warm from the heat of my hands and the water would absorb into the outer material. While my hands were never directly wet due to the lining inside, the gloves became uncomfortably cold in these conditions. In terms of using these gloves for heavy work use, I think they need to be more durable and use a less absorbent material for the outside. The second pair of gloves I purchased for personal use only, when outside in very cold weather. I think they are phenomenal for this use and keep your hands and fingers very warm, and are exceptionally comfortable. I rate this item three stars, because while I am extremely happy with its warmth and comfort for casual personal use, it is advertised waterproof winter work gloves, and found them to be sub-par and not optimal at all for this use.

These gloves are worse than worthless!
OK. To say that they are waterproof may be true. However, it is misleading at best. Only the thinsulate is waterproof. The glove itself soaks up water like a sponge. Your fingers may be dry. But if they are so cold that you cannot function, what is the point? These gloves DO NOT keep your fingers warm. Not even in the least. Not even in mild cold conditions. And if the glove is wet in sub zero cold/windy conditions. No practical thickness of thinsulate will even have a chance. They may as well be filled with liquid nitrogen. And if that isn't bad enough. The thinsulate liner is only attached at the base of the glove. It is not attached at the fingertips. This borderlines on moronic. If you take them as you would other gloves. The thinsulate will turn inside out at the fingers. And have fun getting it back in. You better hope that you are still outside-in the cold. I have wasted well over 30 minutes, multiple times, trying to get them turned back to outside-out and reinserted back into the fingers of the glove. And when you finally succeed at least partially, there is still a small inside-out portion wadded up at the tip which is impossible to correct.. Even if you carefully take the gloves off finger by finger while pinching the tip to keep the liner in place chances are that you will not completely succeed. If the lining was not attached at all. Then you could remove the lining and correct it. Place it on your hand and reinsert it into the glove. Or better yet. JUST STITCH THE TIP OF THE LINING TO THE TIP OF THE GLOVE! Just like other glove manufacturers do. How this glove ever even remotely made it into the production phase is baffling. And let me repeat. THEY ARE NOT WARM! I have a pair that cost 1/2 the price and are 5 times the glove that this pathetic disaster of engineering is. I could not rate the ruggedness of the glove simply because I have never been able to wear them long enough to even remotely put it through remotely tough conditions. Once again, in cold conditions. If the glove is soaking wet because it isn't even remotely water resistant. But the thinsulate lining is. Then having dry hands suddenly takes a back seat to the fact that your fingers are nearing frostbite. Needless to say. Do not buy these gloves. If you must have a pair, I will gladly give you mine.
