Like most of the reviews, I also looked into "Save Your Do". In fact, I bought this product the same time as Save Your Do and I like this product so much that I have yet to even try Save Your Do! For women that want to work out and don't want to ruin their hair, this product is a lifesaver! I've been doing Shaun T's Focus T-25 (the Insanity guy) and anyone that's familiar with the workout knows you are going to sweat, and sweat, and sweat!!! I'm African-American with shoulder-length hair. I wrap it very tightly and secure it with a bunch of pins and then I leave it on for about a half hour or so after the workout and then take it off.Anyone that expects to be 100% dry is rather unrealistic. The center of my head is my problem area when sweating and the breathability definitely helps keep my hair dry. Towards the back gets a little curly, but luckily that section can be easily covered up with more hair when I put it down. I do however suspect that this may be causing hair thinning on my edges. Gasp!I still recommend anyone that wants to do high intensity workouts get this product. I'm interested to see how it works for people that do long distance running.

When it arrived it smelled like it was on the shelf for years or like something spilled on it. I tried to wash it but I can’t get the smell out it. I was so disappointed because I’ve purchased this product before and does help to keep your head cool while working out. That’s why are gave it 3 stars cause I couldn’t use it because of the smell.

So: my hair is rather fine, I will say. But I’m black and have fuzzy edges. I am wearing it wrapped again after easily 2 years of knotless braids. I attend 1-hour workout classes usually treadmill and mat. Not a hard sweat but I do. It works. I twirl it around when I need to just to keep the pattern and reinforce the lay down but I definitely recommend.

Like everything about this cap! I walk 3 miles every morning and my hair would be wet at the end of my walk. I looked and searched for something to keep my hair dry. I took a chance on ordering this. Since it does the job so well, I ordered 2 more. The price is right and comfortable!!!!!!

I do high intensity P-90X3 6 days a week and I sweat ALOT, this cap works better than anything else I’ve tried. I wrap my hair and put this over it. The mesh is wonderful because it allows your scalp to breath and the band keeps the sweat from dripping. The key is to leave it on and allow it to dry after you’ve finished your workout. I take it off spray my hair with dry shampoo and I’m out the door. I have about four that I rotate, yes they tend to wear after a while which is why I bought a few.I also should also mention that my hair is relaxed. When I’m wearing braids I use the headband and that works just as well. This a great product for the money, not many products made for black women and I love this!!!

I bought this and got it on oct 28, I was looking for the "save your do" but that was just too much so I went with this. On nov 1 I got my hair done and didn't touch it for the weekend. On nov 4 I went to the gym and my workout was light so I wanted to wait until it was 2wks to really give a good review. I workout Monday-Friday for 1hr 30min from light to really intense. And this product really really really works! I haven't flat iron my hair since I got it done on nov 1! I've never went 2wks without flat ironing my hair when I workout. After I workout I leave the cap for like 5 min, I don't take it off immediately. Every other day I put oil on my hair, comb and go. Oh I'm African American, mixed with Jamaican and Guyanese so my hair has 3 different textures, my hair is natural and I haven't had a relaxer in 10yrs so I need something that really works. If you workout a little or a lot and you want to protect your hair get this!

Did not realize this was a mesh cap that fits tight to the head with a headband made of polyester and spandex with a hole for your ponytail. I thought the material would be moisture wicking and that I was buying a headband. The mesh is already pulling away from the headband and I haven't worn it once. I don't know why you would want the added fuss of squeezing your hair through a hole when you're going to sweat. Not as described and a waste of money.

These sweat bands do the job! Now, if you are looking for something to keep your hair completely dry, this cannot work that type of magic. However, it does prevent your hair from being soaked.I am African American and have natural hair that I like to wear straight and I found that this would preserve my hair a little bit better, but of course if you sweat from the scalp, your roots will still revert somewhat.Overall, I would recommend.
