The instruction manual is in English!
This was bought to replace an old and failing weather station so I am familiar with how they work. Some reviewers have commented that a problem was that the manual was in German. I can only confirm that my station came with a clear well written manual in English. If you sit down and read the manual the set-up is comparatively simple. One ambiguity I spotted was that it was not clear whether or not you were expected to put batteries in the receiver unit if you were also using mains power. I didn't put batteries in and all seems to work OK. When setting up the sensor unit the indicator light was supposed to flash when the battery power came on for the first time. I didn't see this but as it was in bright sunlight I may have simply missed the signal. Anyway it connected first time. The unit is robust and well made. It was easy to mount on an existing pole and should survive the worst of the weather. The display is bright (I have it permanently on the high setting) but I did notice that the visual range for side vision is a little limited. If you are at an angle of more that 40 ish degree it can be hard to see. Not a crisis just a comment. While the instruction manual is clear and comprehensive it suffers from the problem of many modern electronic devices in that as you can adjust almost every setting to conform to your personal preferences you could make a career out of twiddling the nobs and buttons. However the basic set-up is reasonably simple and I suspect I will just leave it as it is rather than play with options such as ice alert alarms etc. It logged into the radio clock time without any difficulty; not all devices do. The range between the receiver and the sensor unit is about 30 m with good line of sight so not connection problem.Overall I thought it was good value for money and certainly easier to use than the old model that it was replacing. All measurements seem to be as accurate as you can reasonably expect.

Good Value
This as an entertaining and uselful piece of kit but it is not a scientific instrument, for that you would expect to pay a lot more. Having said that it a few tests showed it is pretty accurate, During a long dry but mostly overcast spell it did accurately predict when it rained, whch was quite impressive.Connecting was very easy and the range more than adequate. Looks great in the lounge and the auto dim means it is not inrtusive.

A v good accurate station with limitations.
It is an accurate station, records rainfall, pressure, temperature and humidity outdoors on the sensor unit and temperature and humidity on the indoor unit that displays all the information Both are robust and easy to set up and use. You must ensure that the outdoor sensor is level and above 1.5 metres above ground.it has a history function which gives you readings every hour over the last 24 hours. It also graphs barometric pressure and rainfall on a histogram which covers a few days and gives daily, weekly and monthly rainfall. What it does not have is a long term memory and it does not graph trends in temperature at all but does give a max and minimum value over 24 hrs. If you are looking for trends, you will need to record readings at daily intervals and use a spreadsheet to graph the data. If this is very important for you, it may be better to look at a station that directly connects to an app that will do it for you.

Very impressed
I have to say that I'm delighted with this, which I've had for a couple of weeks now. It certainly gives me a very good and reliable indication of what's going on out in my back garden. For all the criticism I've read in some of the reviews, just what do you expect from a £60 weather station? It may not be 100% accurate but it didn't cost me several hundred pounds! Someone mentioned about not being able to see the display properly due to the angle of the screen, but with my one propped on the side board I can see it perfectly well.I'm delighted with it and would definitely recommend buying one. It was very easy to set up and well worth the money in my opinion.

MORE THAN IMPRESSED
Had this weather station about 10 days now, & well impressed with what it can do.Basically just power up the main unit, then the sensor & they do connect to each other.A lot of information on the large screen, probably too much tbh, but all seems accurate to me.The outdoor sensor is an impressive thing, many ways to mount it, either on a pole....or fence(vertical) or post(horizantal) There is a bubble spirit level on the top to make sure all is level...nice thought there!Weather forcasts have been largely correct, rain sensor is accurate & wind speed/direction are also good.(Compared to my previous weather station/s, that decided not to work after 2 weeks....twice) it is like night & day with quality, accuracy & build quality...& the manual is in English too.The atomic clock is set for EU time zones, not UK, as it is German built , but I just set the time in manual mode.& you get a 5 year warranty if you register on the Bresser Germany website!! Impressed

Poor quality and inaccurate
The unit is robust but poor quality technology it is not a full colour screen which is misleading it also is very inaccurate. We are currently experiencing high sunlight and generally good weather and the screen says cloudy and rain. Poor product

Installation
