STUNTMAN High Stability Chest Mount with J Hook for Action Cameras - Fits GoP...

I have the Gopro Chesty chest mount but bought this to try because reviewers said it hold the camera more steady. I use it for mountain biking with my Hero 13 Black. It fist well and does seem a little more steady than the Chesty. I think this is mainly because the chest plate on this one is highly and made of hard plastic. I don't at all think the chesty is bad and my video using it looks good. Both chest mount are nice and provide good mounting. I like the feel of the Gopro Chest a little better than this one but if your mail concern is your camera being held as still as possible this does seen to hold it a little bit tighter with a little bit less movement. I think both options are good though.

Like many of you, I bought a cheapy GoPro accessory kit that included a chest mount. Like a GoPro itself, it turned out to be pretty flaky. It would twist, unhook in the front and back, slide up and down the torso while skiing and let a chest mounted smartphone bounce all over the place. I chose this mount because it only undoes at one point, the clip. I was surprised to find the chest plate thicker and larger than the kit accessory version and the GP mount having a longer up/down travel with a much tighter locking position. Combined with much heavier duty straps, this thing has turned filming into cinematic quality from a chest mounted Samsung S22 in .06 mode, even through big bumps on the big mountains in the West. The straps are very adjustable and comfortable (I wear it under the jacket on top of my base layer). It's survived face plants in the powder and not even budged out of position. While many of you will opt to mount a lighter GoPro (if you love playing on/off roulette) or other action camera, know that this will glue a heavier smartphone to you (with a mount and adapter) and be so silky smooth that you'll wonder why you would ever need a camera that you don't already have in your pocket.

I'm sure this harness is mainly intended for mountain biking and whatnot, but I use it for making hiking videos. It's perfect. I wear it under a button-up shirt, and have it adjusted so that just the mounting bracket sticks out between the buttons. It looks like there's a camera floating in front of my chest. It's very comfortable thanks to the wide straps, and the way the shoulder straps connect in the back prevents the straps from rubbing against your neck. The chest plate that the camera connects to is some kind of rubber-like plastic material that has a little flex to it, but still holds the camera firmly in place. This harness is vastly superior to the GoPro and DJI version, and it's made right here in the USA. If you're in the market for a chest harness, look no further.

This thing works great, ive use it with a dji osmo action 3 and it really stabilizes my mountain biking videos. Without even using the autostabilization onthe camera. It fits great and you'd never realize you were wearing it. super comfy/

I prefer this over the GoPro chest mount but its still too stretchy and you cant make it tight enough unless you are a big enough person. Plus over time they get stretched out from putting it on etc.

i think the metal plate the camera connects to on this mount makes it more stable than the gorpo version. the straps can get nice and snug and keeps down the bounce of the camera when doing really technical bits of MTB riding. the mount itself is cool and gives you some decent adjustment to dial in your camera level and angle. Even with the metal plate this mount packs down decently to not make carrying it while not wearing it to bulky. once its on i dont notice it at all. wearing any chestie like this and wearing a fullface helmet is not the best marriage as trying to look down always cause me to slam the helmets chin guard right into the camera. Not the worst thing but the two dont play great together; the work around for me is to control the gopro via my phone app, no big deal. the stability this chestie provides far exceeds the hassle of helmet and mount,

I have previously used the GoPro chesty for many years for recording mountain bike rides but always had occasional camera shake on rough rocky sections (even with the inbuilt stabilisation) and it never felt like a truly stable mount. This improved design of the chest mount has a much tighter (though not uncomfortable) hold and practically all camera shake has been eliminated. I've attached an example. My problem now is the footage is so stable it appears that I'm floating over all the rocks!
