Wall Charger for Nintendo DS Lite (Lifetime Warranty, Bulk Packaging)

We have purchased a few DS systems second hand off online sale sites for our children and one or two of them came without a charger. It's not so big of a problem until you have 3 children all needing to charge their DS system because none of them thought to do it until they were completely dead. The price on this AC adapter charger seemed to be a good deal and if it helps keep the screaming and whining level down in our house I am happy to pay the price. This came a couple days after I had ordered it and works just as stated. We've had it for a few months now and with a 6 year old tugging it out of the wall and dragging it across various types of flooring it has held up and still works great. I haven't had any problems with the plug to wall or the jack insert on the cord. It's holding up very well and I am sure we will get a lot more use out of it. I may end up purchasing another one or two just so they don't have to be trapped around the house so much.

Worked as good as the one that came with it originally. No complaints.

We have a DS Lite that we bought in the US, and since moving overseas, we've needed to use a voltage adaptor every time we want to charge it. Even the small wattage voltage adaptors are quite heavy, so while this works fine for us at home, it makes it very difficult to take the DS Lite with us when we travel. This charger is a lifesaver, since we no longer have to pack a heavy voltage adaptor.Like the original charger, the plug folds down to make it more portable, but the US-style plug does mean that a plug adaptor is still required for most overseas use. Thankfully plug adaptors are usually quite lightweight. Also, the cord is a bit shorter than the original charger, which may be good for traveling but makes it a little harder to play when the power is low, since you need to sit closer to an outlet.Overall, it's a handy thing to have if you ever take your DS Lite overseas, and the price is fantastic!(Note that this charger is indeed designed for the Nintendo DS Lite, and NOT the original Nintendo DS, which uses a different connection.)

For anyone confused with the back and forth of reviews saying that this device doesn't work, that they were sent the wrong charger, or to the suspiciously contrasting glowing but yet brief reviews saying its a Godsend of a charger, I would like to help end the confusion.I bought this charger doubting if it would be the right one or if it would work or not, but when I received it, I was delighted to find that it was the right charger, and it worked! I have been using it for 3 weeks to a month now and it is charging without any problems. If you have a Nintendo DS Lite and are looking for a charger, I would definitely take a chance like I did on this thing. I'm so glad to be able to play my DS again!The short and sweet:Yes it works, its the right cord for the Nintendo DS Lite, has been working for a month now.

This is a product that has stood the test of time. Purchased the product in 2011 and twelve years later it is still working fine. This charging cable delivers exactly what it promises. Would purchase again.

If you need a temporary fix in a pinch, then it's fine. For any more long-term use, I don't suggest it.I have purchased this item on three seperate occasions. The price is great. But it only works for a little bit and then doesn't work anymore. I have no idea why. It seems like the connection is loose to the DS. If you wiggle it, the charge will take for a moment and then it doesn't take anymore. I have tried this on two DS lite systems and the same results in both, so I don't think it is the nintendo gaming console that's the problem.So I just ordered the nintendo-brand charger today. Hopefully that will do the trick since I have two very agitated children that can't charge their DS lite systems right now!

I was looking for a new charger when I thought that I lost my original Nintendo charger and mostly went for this one because it's inexpensive. Although I found my original Nintendo charger later, this one turns out to work just as well as far as I can tell.Some non-issues are that this charger doesn't look as good and feels cheaper (which it is) compared to the original Nintendo charger.EDIT:This happened since sometimes ago (I don't remember when), and while I don't use my DS much anymore, I feel that it merits mentioning. The charger in question has been acting strange in that I gotta be careful to position the DS in a certain way or it stops charging. The charger still works, though, so this shouldn't detract anyone from buying it if they lost the original. That said, this indicates that the charger may not be that reliable.

I purchased 2 chargers for my son's Nintendo DS Lite, and received them within a week of the purchase which was nice. What I am VERY disgruntled about is the fact that I paid $1.99 for the product(each), and $3.99(each) for shipping, and received 1 envelope that weighed 3oz. and cost the seller $1.30 to ship, so they wound up pocketing the additional shipping charges as profit. I sent the seller an email and they responded with a very casual "this is our pricing structure" email. I will be very cautious in the future as this is the first time I have had this to happen, and I do a lot of online ordering. The chargers work fine, but the cord between the wall plug-in and the part that plugs in to the DS is VERY, VERY short. It is much shorter than the one that their DS's originally came with, but it does work, so no complaints.
