Size Name:8 crown molding is manufactured with a dense architectural polyurethane compound (not Styrofoam) that allows it to be semi-flexible and 100% waterproof. This molding is delivered pre-primed for paint. It is installed with architectural adhesive and/or finish nails. It can also be finished with caulk, spackle and your choice of paint, just like wood or MDF. A major advantage of polyurethane is that it will not expand, constrict or warp over time with changes in temperature or humidity. It's safe to install in rooms with the presence of moisture like bathrooms and kitchens. This product will not encourage the growth of mold or mildew, and it will never rot. Safe to install indoors or outdoors Will not absorb moisture Is lightweight and durable against average wear Recommended tools for installation Nailgun & air compressor (set at 100 PSI or less) Miter saw Adhesive Spackle Caulk Tape measure Laser level

So far so good. I ordered 11 pieces for about 80 feet of molding run. I used it outside in my covered patio to run cables and LED strip lights. I am a weekend DIY'er. My first time installing crown molding, but I am satisfied with the result - with some minor caulking. Minor issue: one piece of the molding had the white prime peeling off in one place but I was able to plan around that.

Looks great. Will expand/contract however.
Product installs with brad nauler and caulk beautifully. However, when this time of year comes around.. the product unfortunately shrinks a bit in length.. formerly invisible joints are now quite apparent. Its a shame, I had such high hopes. The extruded pvc mouldings have not given me this problem. Polyurethane is just susceptible to expansion/contraction in northeast climes.

2 man job for this product.
The product has a nice looked is super light weight. The only downside was when I was putting it up it twisted too easily. Would recommend a second person to keep it in line.
