Well made, strong fiberglass handle and a forged one-piece head that can be sharpened. The other garden hoes I looked at in this price range had 2-piece welded heads that can fail and break. This is well made and should stand the test of time. And Truper makes replacement heads of different weights in case you want to change it.

I like quality and sturdiness of these product. I dislike the price because is high and the color of the handle. I order black color handle and send a yellow handle.

I’ve been looking for a sturdy hoe for a few seasons, but I couldn’t justify paying the high prices for the ones with the forged heads. This one met my price point for being a good value. Ergonomic is simple, head and handle were solid with no noticeable defects. The weight was not light; it was right. The long handle allow flexibility in finding a comfortable length of swing.After spending 10 minutes filing a sharp edge, it was an easy job to break ground for a small gardening plot.

I learned as a child to ditch with a hoe in California soil. Red clay is a different work and I went through a couple of standard hoes pretty quickly. I've gone down 18 inches with a pick and this hoe into clay, rock, and roots for a length 36 feet. A nice clean ditch the width of the hoe and perfect for installing 5 inch drain pipe. Very little visible wear on the hoe. This is a serious tool built for real work. I gave it a 5 for "light weight" even though it is not light. It's exactly as heavy as it needs to bre to do the work. But if you want a light weight garden tool, this is not for you.

It is not "light weight" but that is a plus. the weight does all the work. If you can lift it, it does the job. You do not have to apply downward pressure. Also, I don't think this will ever wear out. I love this product.

I bought this hoe specifically because it had a fiberglass handle, and tools that I have purchased in the past with the same handle have had a long life.

i wanted a solid heavy-duty grubbing type hoe that can move a lot of soil for hilling up potatoes. This is it. Long handle for good reach and easy on my back. About 8 1/4" wide. Not light wt. Toss and pull and the soil moves. No need for down pressure.

I needed a solution for digging in wet soil. This is it. Fantastically useful and surprisingly light and well-balanced.

Head seemed to not be forged properly, snapped in half at the slightest of torsion. Save your money and buy an easydigging grub hoe instead if you want a quality tool.
