expensive now, but really good ear plugs
Have used these for years for lap swimming. Work well, fit snug, no water gets in, easy to put in and out, and they are comfortable. Also use for night time when there is noise. BUT, the price has increased substantially since I bought last year (twice the price). Still purchased because they are the best. I would rather have a cheaper price than 3 little plastic boxes (versus all in one box last purchase).

Great for running power equipment too!
Ok, so they're ear plugs... However, I use them for sound blocking while cutting my lawn with gas mower or using my great but loud back pack Stihl leaf blower. These plugs are fantastic for that, deadening all sound to a [relative] whisper because they provide such a great and comfortable ear seal. I've tried many others but these have proven to be the best and most effective, I can only imagine how well they must be for swimming and ensuring a complete seal from water entering the ear.

Good for keeping water out of the ears
The product does a very good, nearly perfect job of keeping water out of the ears during showers. They stay in place fit snugly. I am glad I purchased this item. It helps keep the water out of my ears when I wash my hair.

Still unsure!!!
I’ve only used them once and it was hard to make it stay in my ear. I’ll give them another try. Hoping to prevent another case of swimmers ear.

Very comfortable, reasonably priced, easy to keep clean and use. Included tips was a nice plus.
I recently started having ear problems. Infection, liquid in ear that I couldn't eliminate, imbalance difficulties due to inner ear problems, pressure, pain, diminished hearing in one ear. My doctor has diagnosed me with severe "Swimmers Ear". Apparently all the years of scuba diving, snorkeling, a lot of time spent in the ocean water, has caused this problem and it has now become a real problem. A specialist ENT surgeon has flushed and vacuumed my ear. It provided temporary relief, but is back. The doctor said I have to protect my ears from the possibility of liquids entering my ears. Ear plugs has been suggested. I found your silicone ear plugs offered on Amazon. The price was reasonable, and I have been using the ear plugs for over a week now. So what do I think of these ear plugs? * Cost was reasonable * Containers keep the ear plugs from becoming contaminated by dust, debri, moisture, lost. * Easy to keep clean after use. * Once washed and dried, I just allow them to sit in the open container for a shot while to insure they are dried. * Easy to insert and remove from the ears. * No pain or discomfort inserting, using, removing. * Instructions were written in easy to understand manner which also gave tips on inserting and removing from ears. I recommend these "MACK'S" silicone ear plugs to anyone having the need to prevent liquids from entering ears. Even though the ear complications have returned while using the ear plugs, it was not due to or made worse by the plugs. The condition is acute and severe due to the narrowing of the ear canal which causes moisture to be trapped inside the ear by the ear drum. I believe I'll be using this fine ear plugs for a long time. Maybe the rest of my life. That's okay. I don't have to wear them all the time. Just when my activities involve water maybe entering my ears like showering or face washing. Thank you "MACK'S" ear plugs. Z

Noise and/or water in the ears under control.
They do work well to reduce/eliminate noise/water in the ears. I mostly wanted to reduce the volume I hear of the, to me, too loud music the lifeguards like to play at the indoor pool. Water control is a bonus. These stay in place well. I have yet to have one come out accidentally while I swim. I do pay attention to the directions for insertion and removal. For me, they are securely inserted when I can tuck the end of the stem inside the lower edge of the outside end of the ear canal. They are color stable; I prefer color to clear in case one does come out in the pool. I'd definitely buy again.

I'm a bit of a sucker for gadgets of all types, electronics, pens, etc., so I naturally had to try those fancy new earplugs with circles and 'stuff' on them to make their noise reduction even better according to the nany listings. I have ADHD and sometimes I need to block out noise as completely as possible to stay focused on what I'm working on. Here's a few things I've used to achieve this: Fancy Dan earplugs with all the circles and 'stuff'-they reduce the noise but you need to pfaff around getting the best result from them. Completely forgotten the next time you use them. Over Ear Noise Cancelling Headphones-they work well except my ADHD brain is weak-willed and easily led so I get distracted by the background music playing through the headphones; Noise Cancelling Ear Buds-not as efficient as the Over Ear Headphones at reducing noise but better than nothing. And then there are Mack's. Simple Silicone Ear Plugs, east to fit and within seconds the noise is barely audible. Perfect! They're easy to remove too. *Added Bonus: They are great in tbe shower stopping every drop of water from filling up your ear canal. By far the cheapest option of the lot and in my opinion they do the best job. Recommended.
