With lesser power output, this halogen lighting kit is equipped with three of HL8054, mounting on the regular light stands. Unlike the HL8047 key light used for 2200W halogen lighting kit, this halogen lighting kit uses three power adjustable light banks. Power adjustable feature works best when you shoot on location and in a smaller space. This dimmable feature comes handy when photographers shoot in a smaller space since 1000W halogen lighting can be too powerful to be used in a smaller space and can be very uncomfortable for the subject since the heat does not dissipate as fast as it would in a larger space. Smaller soft boxes are used, 24X24, instead of the regular 32X32 soft box used for the 1000W HL8047 key light. Smaller soft boxes are ideal for smaller space where every square inch is scarce. You may turn the full power on the first light and use it as a key light, then use only 300 watt for the second light and use it as a kicker light. The last light should stay at 300 watt also to fill in the shadow. However this is just one type of configuration on this lighting system. Photographers can adjust the power output based on their tasks and needs to produce creative photos!
