Webroot Window Washer

Pretty Good!

Same issue. Works fine for XP but Vista 64Bit will not work. Hard to believe. Now looking for a new program to use on my Vista. Calling Webroot for technical asistance is even more difficult. Call early in the AM.

I've used Window Washer and Wincleaner One Click for years. This product seems to do things that Wincleaner doesn't do (such as washing entire drives and empty space on drive), but leaves behind residue files that Wincleaner will get rid of. It seems that you need both of these products, or either I simply haven't yet found a product that will do what they do in combination.

Webroot has stated that Window Washer 6.5 (latest) does not support 64 bit OS. It's a great product for XP 32bit, however. It installs on Vista 64 and appears to work but does not delete any files. Pity.

This is a great product if you can buy the Washer separate from their Firewall/Security/Virus Protection software.

I have owned Window Washer for many years. At a time it was pretty good and supported well enough that there were no complaints.My issues started when I moved to Windows 7 as an OS. The big surprise was that Windows Washer was the only software I owned that was not compatible. It took many months before a compatible version was available.The next issue was in March 2011 when I upgraded to Firefox 4.0. Surprise - Window Washer is not compatible. So for a month or so I am waiting for Webroot to catch up.This software is becoming more trouble than it is worth. CCCleaner downloaded free from FileHippo.com does most of what it does. If it worked seamlessly I would probably keep it - but it is becoming more trouble than it is worth.

I have been using this program for a number of years. I have purchased this one at Amazon as the price could not be beaten. It is a great program and I will constantly be upgrading this as each year requires an upgrade.

I have owned an older version for XP which worked great so I bought this version for my new computer which has Vista Home Premium 64BIT.. Installed fine, didn't work. Updated to the newest version for free and still didnt work. It thinks that it's working. It displays that the wash is completed but its all blank. After email to webroot help, I recieved links to other problems that are different from mine, and for only $29.95 they will resolve this issue for me when I call. Very disapointed ! Maybe it doesn't work with the 64bit version of vista ?
