Aker Leather 506 Handcuff Case, Open Top

I have used this product for about 3.5 months now and it is holding up very well, the fit was great. I also bought the same product for a hinge cuff set and that one was also a great buy. I would recommend these cuff cases to anyone. I use these on my police duty belt daily.

I recently rearranged my duty belt to streamline it and keep my back clean. I’ve had some lingering back pain for quite some time. Running a clean back definitely has helped a lot. I made the decision to run my cuffs at about the 2 o’clock position (CHP style!?). The traditional style handful case took up a little too much horizontal space as well as digging into my thigh a little bit when sitting. This cuff case took a little getting used to and it is not a universal in fit. Once I got used to deploying the cuffs with it I am very satisfied. It has loosened up slightly with use and I actually prefer to have my cuffs on the front of my body as opposed to my back. Additionally I can draw the handcuffs with either hand. I didn’t see many reviews on this product when I ordered it so I kind of took a gamble. I hope this review helps make up your mind if you’re on the fence. Update: 3 months in and so far so good! Holding up extremely well and have broken in nicely.

At first I was skeptical about these working with ASP cuffs after reading the reviews. Ordered 2 of these cases in hopes of less agitation on my back and minimal space taken up on my duty belt. When these arrived they were too small for my Chain ASP cuffs but if you know anything about leather it is maluable with the right temperature of water and being soaked in it. So I soaked the cases in Hot water long enough to soften the leather and fit my ASP cuffs inside then mold the case around the cuffs let it harden with the cuffs in position and 24 hrs later low and behold the cases formed to the cuffs now no issues. Keep in mind to get theses cases to work it takes a little effort sure but worth it however some of the stitching near the bottom did stretch a little but so far no issue with snap unsnapping while sitting in the cruiser or resecuring cuffs after pulling them out will post an update at a later time but for now these cases will fit ASP cuffs.

When I first got it, it was tight and it woulsnt snap. I soaked it in hot water with the cuffs in it for about 10 minutes and now it is absolutely perfect. I highly reccomend this case.

Police officer for 11 years. Worse cuff case by far. pouch on the front of my belt, doesnt button, cuffs fall out every day. Bend over they fall out, put on duty belt they fall out, take off duty belt they fall out. It’s really frustrating. Then the pouch on my back every day another officer is pressing the button closed looking out for me. Btw Got in a scuffle and they fell out.

Great quality actually smells like leather and it came with twoCuff cases instead of one which was really nice looks good on my belt matches the rest of my basket weave pouches and actually looks better in real life than the picture show the pictures do not do it justice or not it was a really goodbye and I was surprised with the quality in a good way

Fit my peerless 700 tight, no rattle when walking, very snug! For those that want an easy draw, try setting your cuffs (to avoid rust, nab a pair from the local jail's broken/rusty cuffs collection) in this snapped closed and let it soaked in water at room temperature and try with the cuffs in, will give the baseball glove feel most people desire on fit. The snap is very stiff and crisp, your cuffs aren't going anywhere unless you want them to. I would highly recommend for a front carry only forward of your holster! Will not be fun or easy to get out or in from your side or back! Had this for a year now, using my cuffs at minimum 5-6 times a day, not a sign of fraying or deformation. All in all, from the 5 or so cuff cases I've gone through, this one I will be buying again after the first one is shot.

Sturdy cuff holster, clip is very difficult to click closed even once worn in but keeps cuff in place and secure.
