Signal Flex MSPK Mic Stand Replacement Parts - Kit

I have used these to repair a few microphone stands at my church. The stands have been used for years and basically people over tighten the clutch and the threads wear out so the mic stand no longer stays up and keeps slipping down. Basically all that was needed was the new clutch and this kit includes it. In addition some of the plastic parts in the old stands get old and this will do the trick as well. I also had to install some missing rubber feet on one of the stands and those worked perfectly as well. I used the cylinder part of a screwdriver with multiple heads along with a hammer to get those installed. The only problem I had was the threading can be longer than old mic stands are set up for. This causes the clutch to tighten but no hold the stand up because it doesn't reach the plastic to tighten. I was able to put an extra ring between the threads of the rod and the clutch and it worked like a charm after that.The only downside is that the price has increased since I last purchased this making it impractical to repair a mic stand versus buying a new mic stand all together. Before buying check out the prices of mic stands versus this kit and see if its worth it. If its only a few dollars more to buy the complete stand I'd go for the complete mic stand instead. It used to cost me half the price of a mic stand, now its about 3/4 the price. Not worth it in my opinion. That's the reason for the 3 stars instead of 5. The product itself is great, the pricing bad.

The clutch on my old $75 On Stage mic stand gave up the ghost, and this kit did the job right. I stashed the extra bits in my gig bag for on-site repairs. Had I not found this kit, I would have bought either another mic stand for use or parts. This is much cheaper than a new mic stand.

Bought this to mix my proline mic stand. The threads were the same but the sleeve was a different thickness. I made it work. Thought it was universal but I guess some stands are different than others?
