Cutting cable? You need this!
used this in my condo when I cut off cable, to get some stations in our TV. We did get some channels, but we have to scan quite often to keep the channels "in tune". Not sure if that is related to the antennae or the range. I tried all 3 ways of mounting for the best number of channels: window, wall, and behind the TV. I found behind the TV actually brought in the most channels, so Im happy with that because the unit is hidden behind my entertainment center. I also liked that it is black on one side and white on the other. For hanging on my white walls, I would have used the white side. But it was awesome using the black side, for behind the entertainment center, because the dark color hid it from completely. Installation was as easy as screwing one end of the provided cord to the TV and the end to the antennae, and then hanging the antennae by either the sticky velcro (included), sticking the provided suction cup to a window, or just placing the antennae behind the TV on the outside of the entertainment center -like I did.

Wonderful. Wish I knew this Sooner
This little antenna works wonders. Cant afford cable? Well try this. Netflix for about 10. bucks a month. A one time buy of Fire Stick at 39.00. and this antenna. 9.99. and you've got TV. And Movies. My granddaughter gets 63 channels with this antenna. (About 1/3 are Spanish) And after the initial cost of about 50.00 she has TV for 10.00 a month (Netflix). If you cant afford Netflix or have no WIFI you still get basic TV for a one time fee of 10.00. Cant beat it. Check it out. It could save you Lots of money. We are putting this on all our TV's and getting rid of those Boxes.

Antenna location is critical no matter what
As with any of these indoor "leaf type" TV antennas, location is the key to receiving channels. Location and the distance between your house and the broadcasting towers in your area. Don't expect these little $10 antennas to work magic if the conditions in your area are not perfect. I live in the Los Angeles area and I receive just about every over the air channel available. We have huge broadcast towers/transmitters located on the top of Mt. Wilson.I've used this Amazon basics antenna and another (similar in size) cheapy antenna I got from eBay for $5. I receive the exact same picture quality and same amount of channels with both antennas as long as the antenna is placed up against the glass in our front window and faces the broadcast towers (about 45 miles away from me). My point is: Don't complain or write a bad review if the antenna doesn't work for you. If the conditions you have aren't perfect and you receive very little reception, don't be an idiot and blame the antenna. If you buy the antenna, it's a gamble. It might work, it might not. It's only $10 people.A $5 antenna or a $50 antenna will get you the same results if the antenna placement is correct and you don't live out in the middle of nowhere.

Very nice and slim antenna
Very nice and slim antenna. I'm in a basement of a brick building.Overall quality is good. Some days are better/worst than others. I got the half size one and feel its good for the most basic stuff. I do have to move the antenna if I wanted FOX to the opposite side the wall. I'll assume the station is closer towards that side. I'm under the impression that if I wasn't in the basement, i wouldn't have to me playing with the placement of the antenna and possibly get better signal as well. But this does a decent job in the chicago market. I had an older powered antenna to compare to and this blows that out the water.

Love this little gem
Love this little gem!Great little antenna. Brings in all my area available stations crystal clear with only the very occasional drop-out on a couple of channels. I bought this antenna to replace the 4-year-old antenna (with tall rabbit-ears) I previously used thinking that newer technology might make a difference in my reception. It reallly did the trick. Channels that had quite a bit of drop-out are now perfect - no rabbit ears to deal with and it hides behind my tv cabinet! I don't have the ability to use a roof-top antenna and this little gem means I don't have to! Yay! Cut the cord 4 years ago and haven't looked back.

incredibly thin but powerfull
Well I live in a building where my apt is located into a difficult situation located surrounded by trees, buildings, construction site and I was having trouble getting a strong signal on a few channels I watch the most.this little 25 mile antenna did the trick of course is important first to find that sweet spot and thanks to this smaller size I could position it in the right place next to a big window.in my case did wonders and I am getting reception on those 4 channels important to me but experience can change, since I cannot install an outdoor antenna I must stick with this but am very happy.just remember if you can get an outdoor antenna if you cannot remember you must discover the best place to install it and yes sometimes can be very tricky.overall this amazon indoors models seem to be sensitive antennas and good quality.

So close ...
I started with the 25 mile antenna, and it almost gives me what I want. It does get all the local stations, but not from a single location. I have to move it between two locations, separated by about a foot, to get everything. As I seldom watch television this isn't a big issue, but it grates to be so close but not quite there. So I tried the 35 mile antenna, thinking a little more gain would eliminate the silly need to move the antenna such a small distance. Nope, exactly the same behavior! So back went the 35 mile version, and I'll just move the 25 mile one if I need to watch a rogue station.

Works like a dream!
I have to admit I was extremely skeptical that these kinds of low tech things work, but it works. I get about 20 stations, the major networks in my area (Schenectady/Albany area) and some other cool stations. The antenna was easy to install and plug into my TV, you just scan for stations, and installing it was simple. A good number of the stations are high def or close to high def as well as a few non HD stations, too.

Crystal clear signal in Calgary
Very slim and smartly designed antenna with minimal distracting looks. I mounted it on the cabinet wall at the back of the TV, so that it's out of view. Was trying to start by testing antenna placement at worst possible location with worst possible signal reception. The TV itself is wall mounted inside a thick wooden cabinet. WiFi modem, XBox, Cable Box and all sort of junk sits on that cabinet, right on top of this antenna. Used Auto-Scan on TV and was able to find 6 channels with crystal clear reception. Although, I did not had the TV mounted at the time of scanning, so it was just the antenna on the cabinet wall, when scan was run. As someone mentioned they were not able to get any signal in Calgary. Not sure, probably it was their antenna direction or a faulty product. Terrain, location, direction, all matter for reception. For me, this is located in basement, on the outskirts of the city, and still able to get 6 HD channels. Antenna flat faced, points North-South. The CBC Tower Locator site shows their tower is in West (Bowness). So my antenna placement and direction is typically not the best advised. The Omni channel did disappear though, after TV was mounted in front of antenna. But still, fully satisfied with quality and clarity. The antenna is as thin as a file cover and came a bit bent, I just carefully rolled it backwards to make it straight, as it appeared it would crack if excessive force was used. Push pins and tapes are a good addition to the package.

Great little antenna
To my surprise in downtown Montreal I am able to receive VPBS using the basic 25-mile antenna. The quality seems to be dependent on the weather, but not too bad. Since Burlington is way beyond 50 miles I didn't even consider to get it with the amplifier, but maybe I should have. It would have been more stable. I love that it's such a thin piece and I get the choice of exposing the black or white side.

$12 model works great in Calgary (Ogden)
Wow. For $12 bucks we now get high definition Global (2), CTV (4), CityTV (5), CBC (9) and CTS (32) in the community of Ogden in Calgary. The only channel we don’t get is OMNI (38). It took some tinkering. You have to make sure the channel tuning mode is set to digital, and you have to make sure the input configuration is set to antenna. If you can figure that out, you’re away to the races. With the antenna on an inside wall it only picked up 4 channels (no Global), so definitely try different locations.Next thing to try is a DVR for digital antennas...

very nice small indoor antenna
I didn't expect too much from this small tv antenna but i was shocked that it actually is getting more channels then my 8 year old big chunky antenna which i was thinking it would receive more due to it's size.I am located toronto about 10 km west from downtown. Now my living room has much more free space and this antenna, i don't even have to place it near the window.. very pleased.

Un poco fragil pero funcional
El primer momento que la vi pensé que se iba a romper, es muy delgada y flexible, pero funciona perfectamente, recibe buena señal de canales.
