Loctite 222

I usually use blue loctite, but I had some trouble with smaller fasteners stripping so I figured I would try this. It works great! Gives just the right amount of hold to keep screws from backing out and they’re easily removed with a tool.

This started as a 2 am “why is my pen in pieces again” purchase. I have this click pen that loves to unscrew itself in my backpack and dump springs and ink everywhere. These little bands keep the barrel tight so it finally stays together, and I can toss it into my laptop bag without hunting for parts later. One small gripe, they add a bit more bulk than I expected, so my slim pen now feels a little chunky between my fingers. Still, for late-night debugging sessions where I’m mindlessly fidgeting with the pen, it does its job.

When I set up my home office, one screw on my monitor arm kept backing out whenever I adjusted the screen. I bought this low-strength thread locker to keep the joint steady without making future adjustments a headache. I applied a small dab to the screw, tightened it, and the arm stayed put through a full workday of repositioning. The purple formula suits small fasteners, and the 6 ml tube is a handy size for occasional home repairs. I’m glad I had it on hand when that monitor started drifting during a busy morning of calls. It did the job, and I can still loosen the screw with a normal hand tool if needed.

Really handy little tube. I grabbed this to keep the screws on my kid’s bookshelf and a wobbly barstool from backing out. I just add a tiny drop on the threads and snug the screw down. Stuff holds tight but I can still break it loose with a normal hand tool. Glad I bought it.

I picked this up for my tiny home office toolkit since I’m always tightening something on my desk setup. I mainly use it on the screws of my monitor arm and the little bolts on my rolling drawer unit. It keeps things from loosening but I can still break them free with a normal hand tool, which is exactly what I wanted for light use. The tube is small though. After a couple of weekends of tinkering plus fixing a loose cabinet hinge in the kitchen, it already feels half gone. I also wish the nozzle were a bit finer because it’s easy to squeeze out more than I need. It works well, just plan on it being more of a maintenance item than a buy-once thing.

he Loctite 222 Threadlocker for Automotive (High-Temperature, Low-Strength, Anaerobic, One-Piece Assembly, Non-Corrosive, Purple, 6 ml Tube) has proven to be indispensable for my projects, especially when it comes to securing screws on aluminum parts. Given that many stores nearby do not carry this specific Loctite product, I was pleased to find it online. As with all Loctite products, it worked exactly as described. The low-strength formula is perfect for applications where easy disassembly is required, yet it still provides enough hold to keep screws securely in place under high temperatures and vibrations. The non-corrosive nature of the threadlocker also ensures that it does not damage the metal surfaces, maintaining the integrity of the components. For anyone needing a reliable threadlocker for automotive applications, especially on aluminum parts, I highly recommend the Loctite 222. It’s a trustworthy and effective solution for locking and sealing screws. 🚗🔩🛠️

I wish I knew this product existed a couple of years ago. I have been using the blue Loctite on my RC cars and often times fine that the blue still has too much holding strength for small fasteners. This purple formula works absolutely perfect on M3 and M4 set screws that do not require a more permanent fastening solution That you often get from the blue or red. I find the purple Loctite product to be superior for my needs and I highly recommend it for anyone who works on RC cars or small hobby items that may frequently need to be disassembled repaired and reassembled. Highly recommend this product. I

This is a small tube, but I only needed a little for the loose screw on my desk chair. I rent a small apartment, so I try to fix things instead of replacing them, especially when a repair costs less than a new chair. I cleaned the threads, added a tiny dab, and tightened it according to the instructions. The screw stayed put after a few weeks of everyday sitting, which made me glad I bought it before the chair got more wobbly. The low-strength formula also feels sensible for a repair I may need to undo later. I keep the tube in my drawer, and there’s still plenty left.

Works great. Not too strong of a glue.

Works great as always

Very effective on the adjustment screws on a watch strap

Genuine and quality product. Works as it should. Couldn’t find any loctite locally other than made in China ones. I’m glad Amazon stock this!

Tenía la duda si me llegaría seco o viejo el producto pero, no tengo ninguna queja, todo bien.
