Caboodles On-The-Go Girl Retro Case, Sage Marble

Look, I wanted the pink one with every fiber of my being but this purple marble is exactly what I had in 1993. I love this something fierce. It is every bit as glorious as I remember it. All of my girlfriends are getting one for Christmas. Pro tip: you could even hide a liquor bottle in the bottom of the trays and no one would be the wiser. The only bad thing about this is that they call the line “vintage”, which makes me feel like I have a case of the olds and I’m only 37.

Really annoying that it looks nothing like the photo. It is not marbled and doesnt even have the logo on the front latch. I'm thinking it may be a knock-off.

I am smitten with caboodles. I still use the ones that I owned as a child for note/supply storage. This one isn’t as peachy toned as the one advertised in the picture, the item is most definitely orange. I took a picture of it next to my Halloween socks so that you can see just how orange it is. The picture presented makes it look like a transparent baby pink color. Most of my belongings are that soft peach tone so I was excited to have a makeup carrier that went with my room. This also has a very strange plasticy smell that I can only compare to those Sketchers with the interchangeable plastic colors from back in the day. (Can you tell I’m a nineties kid?!) The scent is beyond pungent to say the least, I don’t even know if a gallon of old lady perfume could remove the stench.As someone else mentioned, the mirror attachment could also have been better. This bad boy is perched on the edge of its seat, just waiting to doom someone’s next seven years.It’s decent for the price, ten bucks isn’t too much of an investment, it just doesn’t match the quality of their original products. And, uh, it ain’t peach. (In case you missed that part.)

I purchased this for my daughter's 13th birthday, to use with her new makeup and I wish I hadn't. Inside the caboodle is a lidded compartment. Inside that lid is a mirror. The lid is made of thin, flexible plastic and the rigid mirror is held in place by a single bit of glue in the center. The result is a lid that flexes away from a sharp mirror, easily exposing the edges. Unfortunately, we didn't realize this and on its first use, my daughter sliced open two of her fingers. One finger had multiple cuts. I'm horrified that this product is so poorly designed!!

Honestly the best purchase I have made in quite some time! I tend to overpack my makeup (if you can’t tell by the photo!) but not only is this super roomy, made of sturdy plastic, and contains a nice quality (non-warped) mirror, but the organization is super helpful. The top area with the mirror opens and closes, and the small upper most tray is removable. This all allows for maximum storage. I have used this on the go as well as for everyday use and despite all the heavy makeup I own, the quality of this product is so good, that it supports the weight no problem! I have loved Caboodles since I was a kid and so to have one again is nostalgic and reminds me how useful they can be!! also, the marble detail is gorgeous. All in all would 100% recommend!!!

Calling all nineties nostalgia lovers! Yes over 25 years ago, we all wanted these! Along with our TEEN magazines, yes you know who you are! I love the color, I expected it to be much lighter but it’s not so bad, it is a darker sea foam compared to the picture. I saw one in a brick and mortar store that is much lighter in color but it’s also more flimsy compared to this one. I had to air out the inside for a bit because it does smell like plastic (similar to a shower curtain). I originally purchased this for a gift but now I’m wanting one for myself. This is great for storage and most of the teenagers nowadays are wanting nineties themed items. I gave it one star less for the plastic scent.

I love this. It's super cute and much sturdier than I thought it would be. I like the different compartments as they keep all my stuff organised and visible at one glance (the tray right in front of the mirror can be lifted up too!). I also appreciated the fact that the mirror was real glass and was larger than I thought it would be (its about 7.1x 4.72 inches).Please note that the actual colour is darker, and the marbling is much less obvious in comparison to the picture. There's also a rather strong plastic smell, but I believe this would fade over time.In addition, I would like to add that the delivery for this item was extremely quick -- it took three days after my order confirmation to arrive, even though I took the cheapest shipping option. The item was also very well packed in a box with air cushions. I'm very impressed.All in all, this purchase was a positive experience.

We will start with the good!*This puppy could fit an army of makeup and brushes. I love it.*The moving parts are nice and smooth*My mirror was on tight and not broken.*The smell was not what I expected from a 'plastics from China' smell. My daughter said it smelled "fresh" and my son said it smelled like "pills". So somewhere in the middle? 🤷🏼‍♀️ Either way, not offensive.*The price can't be beat.Now for the 'Meh':*The plastic is all scratched up and worn in places. I'm fairly certain this is not a new item. Disappointing.*The marbling is pretty much non-existent. Which isn't a deal breaker to me, but it might be to someone else.*The purple is much lighter than the picture. Again, not something that bothers me too much, but it's inconsistent.All in all, I'm very pleased to have this on my vanity and excited to shed all my random makeup bags.

It arrived on time and is very cute, exactly as I remember from my childhood days in the 90s!! I bought it as a birthday gift for my 10 year old who has been collecting makeup for a while and needs somewhere to store it. She loves it! However, I took 2 stars away because when I opened the box it had a very, VERY strong chemical odour, which has not completely gone away and we've had it open and airing for a week now. It's the same smell that flip-flop sandals sometimes have when you buy them online and they get shipped directly from a warehouse (I'm talking to you, Bench clothing: your sandals smell disgusting) and while it's not enough to make me want to return it, it's a drawback for sure. The makeup brushes and a little notebook she's been keeping inside smell the same way as the Caboodle now, and they did not when we purchased them. Because of this issue, I would hesitate to buy the Caboodle as a gift for another child. I know some people are particularly sensitive to scents (we aren't really, we are a purfume-wearing family) and this is a smell that would cause health problems for anyone with a sensitivity.All in all, worth the price, esthetically fine, perfect for a young girl. I just hope the odour isn't toxic, especially because the products inside it, my daughter uses on her face

This caboodles case was so great for my daughter, she just started collecting makeup and its the perfect size for all of her things, however, the plastic chemical smell is over baring, we needed to put it outside for a few days to let the smell air out, but still it lingers and now all of her products smell. We are able to get over the scent and it is a great product.

Size and features exactly as expected however the colour is not at all as pictured. Very disappointing! Doesn’t look nearly as nice as the photo.

Well made, sturdy, glass mirror, made in the US.... This caboodle has a long list of qualities, but it also has one big default. It STINKS. It's not so bad when it's closed, but on the inside, the box has a really strong smell of plastic. It's not a pleasant smell at all. I'm hoping it'll fade over time, but yeah. Yikes.

Bought as a gift for my niece and she loves it!! Ours came in great condition, none of the marks that other buyers r mentioning. I later ordered my daughter a purple and green one and it is good as well. The girls love them and happily packed with all of their makeup. Nice to keep it all in one place vs all over the house. They leave them sitting on a low dresser so I can’t say how sturdy it is to haul around full all the time but works well for organizing and containment!
