IcyBox IB-250StU3+BH 2.5" SATA Hard Disk Drive HDD SSD Enclosure USB 3.0

After testing several dozens of enclosures, because of my daily job, I can say, with no doubts, the Icybox is the best by far I've ever used.Easy to mount/dismount, safe, with a high-performance controller. Even using it with an USB 2.0 controller, you will achieve the highest transfer rates from it. With USB 3.0, the performance is so good, that I'm using one of the cases with a SATA2 disk to keep my Virtual Machine images between my computers... and the performance is really acceptable! I've now 3 of them, I'd say it's enough reference for them!

Bought this to enable me to upgrade laptop hard disk to SSD (by cloning disk to disk). It is a good quality solid metal enclosure which supports USB3.0 (although my old laptop doesn't). Worked well for the intended purpose, and it now houses the old 2.5in disk from the laptop for backup purposes. Pleased to say laptop performance has improved greatly with the SSD installed.

Arrived quickly, well packaged. Easy to set up, I like the screws thing. To be honest looks more durable than the usual non screw enclosures. I used mine in a 12.5mm disk, worked perfectly. No complains at all. Good stuff

Comes with everything you need, very well made and works like a dream.Would prefer a nicer carry case as the one provided is a bit naff, otherwise there is nothing to complain about here.

Over priced - you can buy an enclosed hard drive for not much more than this caddy on its own, the screws strip easily to!
