NIV, Value Thinline Bible, Large Print, Leathersoft, Brown, Comfort Print

Great size print. It's large and easy to read. Pages are typical of most Bibles - thin. The soft cover feels luxurious, and very like leather. It's light and easy to carry to church or Bible study. Great value for money. Would make a lovely gift too.

This was exactly as I imagined it would be. It is the perfect size, slightly heavy, wonderful to the touch, and easy to read. I also really liked the price and the quick delivery. I have many Bibles, and the two I most recently purchased are enormous -- not really suitable for travel and even a bit bulky for bedside reading. This one will do nicely! -- though it is not a study Bible and includes no notes nor maps. That's ok though. I have one NIV study Bible that has excellent notes, but I have another study Bible that includes what I would call "life advice" mixed in with the study notes that kind of rub me the wrong way. I am ok with this Bible here just being the Bible. That is kind of nice!

Easy to read font. Comfortable in hands. Nice weight on pages easy to highlight and underline with no problem. A slightly bigger Bible but still easy to handle.

I was looking for a good reading bible and this one did not disappoint. I love how it pays flat and it's easy to use. The print size is just right, not too small and not too large. The NIV is simple to understand and a pleasure to read. I recommend this for those who are simply looking for a good reading bible. Because it's light, it's perfect for taking to church and for travelling.

A great new addition for on the go! It’s lightweight and has a larger font for my aging eyes. I just wish there had been “red letters” in the gospel books, but so far it appears to be nice quality and easy to read.

I have had my American Standard study Bible for 40 years and it is falling apart. I had been studying the accuracy of the NIV Bible for some time. Although it doesn't get the original translation done in line by line accuracy, it does go to the original language of the text and translates the meaning a paragraph at a time. Thus far, I find the NIV to be accurate in conveying the true meaning of the Holy Scriptures. This Bible is very comfortable in my hands. The size could be an issue for a child or woman with small hands since it measures about 6.5 X 9.5 inches and is a little less than 1 inch thick ... perfect for me! The Bible is a no frills version ... no maps or introductory comments to the books ... which helps make it a little thinner than others. I purchased the brown one ... simple, soft faux leather that's embossed along the edges and has attractive stitching around the edges. For such a reasonable price ... this Bible should give me many years of service and hopefully stay looking attractive as well. (The only negative is that the pages are pretty thin so it wouldn't be advisable to add index tabs since the pages probably wouldn't hold up.)

My bible arrived right on time, just as they'd predicted. It looks and feels absolutely beautiful. My only complaint is that this is not 'large print' by any standards. Zondervan executives should be ashamed to refer to it as 'large size' print. It's really the standard size print of the early 1990's style bibles (like the Good News bibles, which were given away for free, at the time in South Africa.) When typing out anything, most wordprocessors use font sizes of 10 or 11 as standard, and then increase it to 12 or even 14 (or more) for easier reading. Anyway, it's beautiful, but be aware it's nowhere near anything but standard font size (I believe it's around font size 11.)

Got it online due to good price, and arrived promptly. Pleased overall.

LOve it for gifts. Large letters too

newspaper thin pages, first few pages are slightly folded at the edge, the last few pages were slightly creased and stuck together. you can see the words behind the page. the imitation leather is nice
