It took about an hour for me and a helper to put it together. It is sturdy, attractive, and functional.

The bench is a great value for the money. It was easy to assemble and is very sturdy. Also looks great! Highly recommend!

Other bench is very nice! I love the wood and design. Putting it yogether was a great challenge because holes for screws were not lined up so be prepared to use the drill. Quality of screws were poor and included tool was useless. Screws were missing. The customer service was exemplary and we got the screws although the first shipment sent the wrong one. I still love the bench despite turbulent assembly. I think about getting the second one. Just need to rest after first round!

We needed a way to store recycling on our small, covered front porch without a bunch of ugly plastic bins. This bench is the best solution! I put it together solo in about a half hour, but I'm sure someone with better hands could have done it faster. I put three 11x11 boxes inside to hold cans, bottles, paper. The bench looks nice and provides a seat to accompany our rocker. As someone else notes, if you want a cushion, you may have to have one made (or make one yourself) - it's an odd size that I haven't been able to find here or in stores. In terms of construction, all the holes were predrilled, even for the hinges (but it took me a few minutes to figure out where the holes were and how to attach hinges). The rest of the kit was easy to put together. The directions advise only putting screws in halfway until the bench is assemble (except for lid), and that's a good point. Things need to be loose so you can fit the back of the bench on. Then tighten everything up. The directions also note that if one of the large screws doesn't feel like its going in right, back it out and try again, being sure to keep the two pieces aligned. That was also helpful. All in all, a great buy. We won't be working this bench too hard, and its under cover. I'm hopeful that we'll get some decent years out of it.

I was skeptical when ordering this bench from Amazon. It arrived in a large heavy box and I was a little intimidated about building this myself. It took less than an hour and is sturdy and beautiful!!

This bench was easy to put together. I am 65 yr old woman, put it together myself, I usually dread doing stuff like that but it was surprisingly simple. Very attractive bench, great storage and fits on my small front porch perfectly.

This small storage bench, which is sold by Costway by a variety of sellers on Costway, Amazon, Wayfair, and other marketplaces, is of decent quality but may or may not stand the test of time. At $220, it is likely priced correctly for the quality of construction (compared to other models that are $400-600.The wood is on the thinner size which means that it will be more susceptible to weather than heavier pieces and the fasteners are all yellow zinc which is decent protection but are ultimately susceptible to rust depending on your environment and time exposed to direct weather.Assembly is simple though I suggest ditching the 5/32" Allen wrenches and going with an impact driver on a low or moderate setting. The bag is a bit clumsy as the Velcro, which is just stapled onto the wood, that holds it on is right where the zipper is. It is also a thin polyester bag which is not waterproof but rather will bead/repel water until it is saturated and then water will go through. Consider buying a waterproof bag to replace it if you want to keep things dry or as I did, go with a cover to fit over the whole bench.Note that the bench is small. Small meaning that you will not get 2 full sized adults on it but you might get 1 adult and 1 kid, or 2 small adults/teens, or 3 little kids on it. The seating width of the bench is 39 1/4". That is also an odd size as far as cushions go as the smallest bench sized cushion is typically 42".

It showed ip on time and was easy to put toger it is very sturdy , looks great on my deck and very comfortable for a largr guy like me.the only issue is that it is not waterproff and "bag" is not attached and similar to a garment bag althow shaped for the box.Learning curve I guess. All in all very pleased with this item and will probably order a second once I get the rest of my yard sorted out.ooking good.

Beautiful bench I just wish it was deeper. Well made, easy to assemble (although it would have been easier with 2 sets of hands) and it is a aesthetically pleasing. The Allan key it comes with is quite small. I would have loved to see a larger one included but I just put some soap on the screws and it was a easy to install.

Hardware strips easily and goes in with great difficulty. Designed to give you tendinitis, since all screws must be tightened manually (stripped even when I tightened manually because it was impossibly hard to turn the screw into the hole). I finally broke down and tightened with a driver - some went in, some stripped completely. It's holding together so far, but I hate seeing my 80% in screws on the sides.

Perfect size for my condo balcony with ample storage space. Doubles as a dining bench and matches my patio tables and chairs.
