I tell you what this technician knows his stuff really really well if you want to study for your ase's or just want to get some knowledge on truck and trailers duh! lol. I would recommend to any technician out there in the field. I would also like to give out a special thanks to Mike Thomas for making this book for techs to have and buy to learn about everything in the trucking industry and help rookies who haven't been the field that very long. Thank You Mike Thomas.

Listen man, I bought this textbook as part of a diesel tech class, and I feel like there are many omissions and some false information.One of the examples is a fairly simple process, such as reinstalling a wheel to the rest of the truck/tractor. The correct installation for a six or eight lug wheel is a criss-cross pattern, resembling a star. This book recommends the tightening sequence 1-2-5-3-6-4 instead of a traditional approach in a criss-cross pattern 1-4-2-5-3-6. This is a basic mistake, I have asked three or four master techs, and they all said throw the textbook away. If they make a mistake on something this basic and simple, when you get into in-depth engine rebuilding, heads, more crucial components, there is a possibility of it being false information.I can give this book three stars because the quality of the book was good, it had paper and a cover and was in a good condition. The content is what I have an issue with. I am no more capable of installing delivery valves in a 5.9L Cummins than I was prior to reading this book. If this is a book you're purchasing for a hobby or to learn more about diesels, I would say pass on this. If this is for a class like it was for mine, I am sorry.
