Just get it. Works beautifully. We have recently given my son our old legos that have been sitting for decades and this pries apart pieces that have been stuck together that whole time. Easy to use, wish I had one back in the day.

You receive a free device that does the same things when you buy any Lego model. Those are all plastic while this one has a metal blade (rarely used part). I also received an even better one in a recently purchased Chinese designed model sold by Yegg, Inc. through Amazon. Why buy this unless you “need” the dull blade (it is not a knife)?

Works well. Much better than the plastic ones lego makes. However if you are particular about your legos getting scratched, this may not be the tool for you. It can leave dents.

大きなプレートを外すのに指の爪が限界だったので、評判の良いこの金属製ツールを購入しました。確かに、外すスピードは格段に上がりますし、力もいりません。とても便利です。 しかし、注意が必要です。メーカーは傷つけない設計と言っていますが、それはあくまで「他の金属工具に比べれば」という話だと思います。 金属の先端をブロックの隙間に差し込む以上、傷はつきます。 特に、最近購入したばかりのピカピカの新しいブロックに使うのは控えた方が良いでしょう。私は使い古したパーツや、傷がついても気にならないような一般的な基礎プレートに限定して使っています。力を入れすぎると、パーツがへこんだり、白っぽく跡が残る可能性もあります。 使い方のコツとしては、テコの原理で「押し下げる」よりも、むしろ先端を引っ掛けて「引き上げる」ように使うと、ダメージが少ないように感じます。あくまで非純正の金属ツールであることを理解した上で、自己責任で使い分けるのがよいです。

商品説明画像のような、テコの原理で外す場合は非常に簡単に外せます。 しかし、同じ大きさのブロックが積み重なっているような状況では、側面の突起を強く押し当てて隙間をこじ開けるような使い方が必要です。 小さい子には難しいかなと。 親がやる分には確実に早く外せますけども。 ちなみにブロックの角はうっすら潰れます。 カッターの刃を滑り込ませる方が綺麗に外せるけど、自分の手を傷つける心配を考えると、こっちの方がいい。 ちなみに、プチブロックをテコの原理で外すのは難しいです。 また、頭の突起の角が滑らかではなく、手を傷つけるような鋭利さや荒さがあったので、削って滑らかにしました。日本製ならこういうのは配慮されてるよなと思えるクオリティ。
