easy to use - if you can mop the floor, you can DIY
I liked everything. I used it 4 years ago to stain and seal my new deck. Reseal overdue. Little prep work needed (if planning to stain and reseal). Clean and dry per instructions. Get a moisture meter!!! Confirm all areas have less than 12 % moisture. (You can apply this in the direct sun). I’m in my 60’s and I did this alone total 2 hours. It’s as easy as mopping a floor. IEstimate my savings between 800 and $1500 . Used 2 gallons of product for two coats on the railings and the horizontal surfaces. The railings take the most time. I used natural light oak, which comes out a bit darker than the sample on the can, but that’s great for me. This product covers well. Blends perfectly, So you can do it at different times, and pick up where you left off another day, without worrying about lines. It is immediately effective. My total costs were: 2 gallons of ready sealNatural Light Oak (100$) A $10 sprayer, $10 application pads, Some rubber kitchen gloves, A plastic paint pan, a couple microfiber cloths- And the moisture meter pictured here). 1 gallon goes really far. Professionals wanted between $800 and $1500 to do this (About 400 ft.²). Terrific value. and I don’t believe their job would’ve lasted any longer than when I would do myself. I personally love the homey feeling of natural wood grain that comes through. There are darker colors that are more opaque. Great thing about RS is that if you continue with it, you can reapply right over remnants of an old coat. They are not kidding when they say To do your prep work. So be sure it’s clean, and dry - moisture level is under 12%. One of the most impressive things is how quickly and thoroughly this product seals the wood. I stained my deck in two parts. I tested an untreated plank right next to a newly treated plank After spraying them both with Hose The untreated plank registered 35% moisture while an adjacent plank treated 15 minutes prior right next to it registered only 5 percent ( Staying true to the claim that it can rain soon after application. Water from the hose just stayed right on top of the treated plank. If you can mop a floor, you can DIY. Make sure to use Painters tape around doors and drop clothes on your plants. If you get any product on siding, clean it off right away Since it is oil-based and will stain. Also make sure to wear protective eyewear because the very thin constitution does splash. Good luck

Great product
I’ve used this product every year since my deck was purchased new. The stain is excellent and virtually fool proof. Very easy to do yourself. If your deck is exposed to the elements, plan on resurfacing, at the very least, once every two years. You’re fooling yourself if you think this stain lasts longer than that when exposed to rain, snow, and sunlight.

Oil Based is Better
Oil based is still the best, this product will last longer, have better protection and in my opinion look better. Water based preservative products just don’t compare

Too thin
Your product too thin don't go on thick enough

Good stain. Looks great.
The stain works well, however, I would suggest applying it with a roller instead of a sprayer as you probably waste too much using a sprayer. Spraying is faster but rolling gets more stain where you need it.
