Quantum Fishing Snapshot 1BB Spin Fishing Reel

I just opened up my new Quantum Snapshot SS20F spinning reel and am pretty impressed with the design. It seems like an okay quality reel, however, the product description clearly claims the reel to be constructed with "2 BBs" (Ball Bearings), but it is only a single ball bearing design. It says so very clearly on the product's box. Probably not a big deal, 2 BBs or 1 BB is not among the best quality regardless. This product is simply a low priced reel with some cool features and adequate construction for the price. I would still have bought the product if I had known it had a single ball bearing, I just hate false advertising! Overall, I'm happy with the product.

Update - Old review was based on my pass experience with the Quantum Snapshot 30 reels. I have been using the Quantum Snapshot Reel for at least 10 years. I purchased 3 Quantum Snapshot reels from Amazon in May and June of this year. I was stocking up. About 2 weeks ago, I put these reels on new rods and went fishing. The reels trigger broke on all after only 3 casts. I was so disappointed. That is why I am updating this review. The reels are guaranteed for 1 year. The customer has to pay shipping back to the manufacturer. Shipping cost may be more than the reel costs. I guess this is why one should write a review based on the current experience with a product. I will probably try another one of the reels. Hopefully this was just a bad batch. Sorry for the,(Old Review, I like the Quantum snapshot reel. It allows me to cast with one hand. You do not have to touch the line while casting. The reel last me 18 to 24 months.)

I have yet to use this product but thought i would make a note about the items description. On the title to the item description it clearly states 2BB (ball bearings) this item shipped to me exactly as described with the exception of it haveing 2BB It is clearly marked on the box and reel itself that it is 1BB not that this much matters Quantam is the only thing i use and has never let me down i am sure this is a great product but if you are specifically buying for 2BB Don't because it is only 1BB overall it still gets 4 stars

I'm throwing this spooled with 4lb florocarbon line and it is great. I landed tons of bluegill and a few rainbow trout (a couple 2+ lb) on it and it hasn't had any issues. Drag is very good and it feels very smooth on retrieve. I did throw a bunch of wind knots, but I attribute that more to fishing florocarbon in the winter when it gets a bit stiff. Sure there wouldn't be any issues with mono or braid.

I wanted a Quatum and wanted it fast. After checking the stores and realizing I could save a LOT of money and have it in 2 days (Amazon Prime membership is the way to go) I went ahead and ordered from Amazon. Saved enough on the reel to buy a rod. Excellent quality (it's a Quantum)and I had it by the weekend!

after a while the trigger does not work to well

I think I snagged this for $9 because it was backordered.Two years later, and a ton of tough fishing on it (everything from trout to catfish) and it's a little sloppy.It's not one of my Penn Saltwater reels... but it was also 2.5-5% of the price too.Remember, Bill Dance uses Quantum.

Great for a single ball bearing reel. Smooth mechanisms. Super price and free shipping.

After trying a number of other reels, I settled on this one. It is smooth and not subject to snarls and backlashes. I liked it enough that I bought a second one and put them on matching rods and the same line. Now I can pick either up on the boat and feel confident.

I have been using Snapshot reels for years, I own 7 of them in the 20 and 30 sizes. I have never had trouble with them and I would recommend this reel to anyone.

Used one of the reels for the first time 3 days ago on a long-awaited fishing trip and the 'snapshot' lever failed/broke within 10 minutes!!

I have four of these reels now. Two of the 20's and 2 of the 30's. both are excellent for many different applications.

This reel is great! It casts and reels very smoothly. So far I haven't had any problems.
