The cords are extremely Iong and I should’ve cut them since they get in the way during install. I’m always nervous about doing that, just in case I need to drop down the light fixture. Or move it to a spot with a higher ceiling. That’s one issue. The other is: getting the holes on the base plate to line up with the screws on the mounting plate. You have to have two people to install it, unless you’re a pro. It was difficult for me and my sister but we weren’t exactly using the proper equipment. I was standing on a commercial paint bucket while my sister was on a two foot stool. During the tedious install process, my sister was holding the fixture above her head trying to line up the holes with the screws, while I held the nuts to quickly screw them into place. In doing so, my paint bucket gave way, throwing me sideways onto the ground. In my fall, I hit the mid-sized bulb cage, causing it to Swing up to the ceiling then come back down onto my sister’s face. The mvp here and savior of the whole project was my little sister who managed to keep the holes lined up with screws. Which, I’ll add, was not easy after getting nearly knocked out, while I scrambled to get back on the janky paint bucket and screw the nuts in while we both cry-laughed hysterically, at this point her arms were held above her head for upwards of 4 minutes. So, I’d suggest, if you don’t want to hire someone (you’re probably cheap like me if you’re buying this, so, no) just use a ladder, cut the cords shorter and have a sister who has good balance and arm strength.

This was is cute and an easy install. Wanted something more elevated for an apartment. The cords seem to keep their kinks. So that’s my only issue. It’s been up for over a month and still they aren’t straight. I’m probably just too OCD.

It's a great product. Deciding the length they hang, the order they hang and the type of bulb gives it the best look was unexpected with me. I saw it, I liked it and I bought it. Never thought about how I would display it until I got it and saw the different styles it has to offer. Good product still.

First let me say that these lights are very well made. I shopped around at the box stores and hardware stores in my metro area and these were just as good as the ones 4 times the price. The quality and craftsmanship of these light fixtures are luxurious so say the least. These were very easy to install. All you needed was a screw driver and maybe an extra set of hands to hold the light while you screw it in. Easy peazy!! My husband and I had them installed in less than 5 minutes total. That included removing the old ugly “boob” lights.Now: Some reviewers say that you can not adjust the length amongst the three cords. That is completely incorrect. They are in fact very much adjustable and honestly it is quite simple to make them any length you wish whatever your style may be. All three are set to where the lengths can be adjusted at the top by a rubber grommet. That’s it, just life it and pull the cord to length. You don’t have to use all of the cord provided, if you have 8 foot ceilings like I do then adjust accordingly and electrical tape the cords inside the top panel then screw it to the ceiling. The extra cord is hidden and your lights are held in place by the rubber grommets inside the panel at the top of each cord! TaDa!!! It’s like magic. I know it’s really not but if you have shorter ceilings these will 100% work! And if you have 10 foot ceilings these are the lights for you as well! These lights look perfect over my island and the price couldn’t be beat. Don’t read the bad reviews and decide you don’t want to buy them. Most bad reviews IMO can be attributed to user error. Buy them now. They are the perfect addition to any farmhouse design looking for coordinating pendant lights.

Easy install, had a bit of an issue getting the screws to set on the nuts. Could be a little longer than they are. After much persistence and pressure on the cover I was able to get it. But keep in mind that you may need to go to your local hardware and grab slightly longer screws for an easier install. Cables are a bit of a mess getting all inside of the cover as well, but I feel like if I let it hang longer than I wanted it to be it would not have been so much of an issue. So if you plan on having them shorter then consider fastening the cables tightly within the cover. All in all I’m happy with the result. Only thing I could say could be better, for as inexpensive as this is, is to provide slightly longer mounting screws.
