Seiko Men's 5 Sports Automatic Watch with Stainless Steel Strap, Silver, 22 (Model: SRPD73)

I bought this watch for a beach vacation where I didn’t want to subject my good watch to suntan lotion and sand and salt water. I got this because it’s mechanical and if it sits in the drawer for months at a time I will never have to replace a battery. I only buy mechanical watches now for this reason.The first day I had it I wound it up, set it, wore it for the afternoon and put it on the bedside table. Woke up and it was over five minutes slow so I started thinking about a return but then tried again. This time, and consistently since then, after I first set it it goes about 15 seconds fast, but then holds that. As I am writing this I have worn it for a week and it is sitting at 11 seconds ahead of the time on my iPhone! Incredible for a mechanical watch this price.The finish is nice if a bit shiny for me but otherwise I love the look. The mesh bracelet is nice for micro-adjustments without removing links, and it’s light and low profile for swimming or fitting under a sleeve. The dive bezel clicks nicely with two clicks per minute. The lume is good and lasts all night.Overall I can’t believe a mechanical watch with this accuracy and materials can cost $200. If you have never had a mechanical watch because of price, get one. If you have expensive watches and want an accurate mechanical for banging around, get one. If you like the way it looks get one. Just get one.

Bought this because I have always wanted an automatic watch, the price was right and I thought it looked good. Everything feels well made (no play). This is my first watch with a Hardlex crystal, I normally try to stick to sapphire, but I have read good things about Hardlex and no scratches yet despite daily wear. I will replace it with sapphire if it gets scratched. Easy to set time and date, which is good because you will be setting it a lot unless you wear it everyday or own a watch winder - just make sure to follow the instructions so you don’t get AM and PM reversed for purposes of the date. I’ve had the watch for about a month and have probably had 8-10 people compliment it. Happy with my purchase!

The media could not be loaded. I love the look and feel on this watch. Bezel is pretty solid and with a nice finish for the price. The dial is awesome! Great watch. The dial is more of a deep bronze color (as opposed to dark grey) and is really nice in the sun. The chapter ring and markers have a slightly off white color (sort of fauxtina) that matches it perfectly. Black bezel. I like the mesh bracelet but it’s a little fancy for me to wear day to day. Works great on a black tropic band and also on a black and khaki nato strap, which brings out the bronze in the dial. Drilled lugs make it easy to swap. Red tip on the seconds hand is a nice touch. The question is, how many different color ways can I buy before the wife catches on? I was going to drop one star for the water resistance and lack of sapphire, but I don’t dive or treat my watches rough. Hope this helps with your decision. You can’t go wrong.

There's really nothing automatic about this watch. It's advertised as self-winding, but must be manually wound regularly, or it stops. Not automatic. The knob is large and protrudes, and if worn on the left wrist, will wear a hole in the back of the left hand. I wish I'd spent much less for a much better watch.

Overall this watch slaps. Movement is clean, textures are smooth, and it looks great! It lost a star due to weight and thickness of the case/housing. I am 6' 220lbs so it's size works for me.

The watch fits nice. Not heavy at all. Very easy to adjust the size without taking links out by moving the clasp around, so I enjoyed that. Wind it up, wear it all day, and you’ll never have to worry about it. Time does seem to run a little fast on mine after awhile but adjustments are easy. Highly recommend for an affordable, yet stylish daily wear watch.

With the quality of a watch that might cost thousands, this is such a beautiful price for under $300. The weight and quality of materials, beauty in the movement and reputation of the company makes me want to buy more… which I have done since receiving the first one
