I had to purchase a smaller carrier for smaller airplane requirements. Size is as described. I like that if folds flat to store away but when my dog leans on the side of the carrier the entire bag leans to that side. As soon as my dog walked inside, the liner mat slipped all the way to the back of the bag because there is nothing holding it down to the bottom. I am keeping the carrier because it meets the airline requirements. I had to purchase velcro from a nearby store to keep the mat in place.

I was traveling on a plane with my cat for the first time, and needed a carrier that fit all the airline requirements. This carrier fit all requirements for American Airlines in-cabin pet regulations and is super sturdy. It also fit perfectly beneath the seat on the airplane without crowding my cat. The zipper is a little difficult because it goes around the rounded edges, but unlike several others I've owned I wasn't worried that my cat might actually be able to get out of it on accident if she started squirming. I have to say I felt very secure traveling with my cat in this carrier and would highly recommend to anyone traveling with a pet!

I ordered the Medium, which barely fit a 9.5 lb cat. He could turn around OK but mostly looked squished. I really liked the overall look, and the shoulder strap, which lets me be hands-free while filling out paperwork at the vet, and lets him stay up high next to his human instead of on the ground in a hard-sided carrier. The mesh bottle holder on the side is great for tucking it paperwork and small items.However... this cat very much dislikes car rides and carriers, and tries to fling himself around inside the containment. While the outside of this carrier is sturdy canvas-like material, it has a nylon lining, which is very quickly shredded to pieces by cat claws. Also, when my cat was pushing angrily against the sides of this carrier while in the car, he managed to push hard enough to start the zippers opening…and then he could get his head out and push it wide open. After that happened a couple times, and with no way to "lock" the zippers closed, I realized this wouldn't work for my active guy and had to get a hard-sided carrier with a gate latch instead.So if you have a small dog or cat that enjoys being in carriers, this could be a great option for you. But if you have a squirmy fussy non-traveler, this is not the one.

I don't know why anyone would buy anything else for their cats. Mine fight over who gets to be inside when I pull one out, even though it always results in a trip to the vet. They love this thing, and I love how comfy it is on the inside. The liner on the sherpa mat is washable, thankfully. And inside, it has one of those cool/heat pads that you can turn to the side you want to help regulate the temperature (not sure if it works, but it sounds neat).Sometimes the zipper sticks a little, but it's worth the effort to have a cat carrier that my cats love.

I ordered this when I saw that it was marked medium. I have a bichon shih tzu hybrid, and he is about 14 and a half pounds. My poor baby couldn't even get all the way inside of it. It doesn't have any info on the size that it should carry, but I guess 14 pounds is too much! I would say this would probably fit a very small animal comfortably. I have since returned it.

This carrier performed well in helping transport a kitten on two airlines flights. The internal padding is thick and comfortable enough for an animal tat can reasonable be expected it fit under an airline seat space.

This carrier should be cosidered small, not medium. All the posts that say this carrier doesn't fit an adult cat are correct. The dimensions listed in the product description are incorrect. It would work for a kitten, but no larger than 5-6lbs I think. I would only use this carrier for very small pets like a ferret. There was no way I could use it. The material and construction were nice though. I'll give it that much.

Excellent for transporting our cat to the Vet or wherever we need to...very nice product!

Although this item claims to be a 'large', it is quite small. My Jack Russell does not like to go in it, and I really have difficulty putting her in. However, it is aesthetically pleasing and was purchased at a great price. Therefore, no complaints and would highly recommend it for smaller pets.

The product looks exactly like how it is in the picture minus the hood thing at the front of the carrier.Also it seems bigger than the description.I would say it is a perfect carrier for kittens/puppies and medium sized cats/dogs.One thing that made me give it a 3/5 is because it is missing the hook thingy that I can attach the shoulder strap.I don't know if it is a mismanufactured product or if it is just the way it is supposed to be, but highly inconvenient when you get the shoulder strap but nowhere else to hook it to.I'm just glad that I bought it when it was half-priced.

cat really enjoys this carrier as opposed to her older hard case with steel grill.

My dog hated it but no choice! She was with me in flight.

Cat likes it ans even goes into it on its own to just hang out sometimes
