This traditional vertical prayer flag is 7ft-6in tall x 1ft-6in wide (plus the streamers). It has prayers for Overcoming Obstacles (Wind Horse - yellow), Compassion (Tara - green), Wish Fulfillment (Guru Rinpoche - red), Karma Purification (Vajrasattva - white), Health and Longevity (Tsa La Nam Sum - blue). The five colors represent the elements: yellow/earth, green/water, red/fire, white/air, blue/space. The 10 tongues (streamers) have special mantras to increase the power of the prayers on the main body of the flag. Radiant Heart Studios has been collecting, designing, printing and distributing prayer flags for 40 years. We've had our own printing studio in Kathmandu, Nepal for 14 years. Our manager's family has been making prayer flags for generations and our staff is well trained and well paid. We are dedicated to making high quality prayer flags. We use traditional wood-block printing techniques for this 5 color vertical flag. The woodblocks are well detailed and the prayers, mantras and images have been checked for accuracy. The cloth we use is the best quality we can find. Although it's sold as "100% cotton" it has about 10% polyester. It's a strong tight weave that moves nicely in the wind. It's durable and holds it's vivid colors better than anything else we've found. We believe you'll find our products to be the finest quality available.
