My cousin wanted me to make her some wall hangings, and I know how to make Macrame bracelets, so I thought this would be easy enough, if I read up on it a little. But when I started to read this book, I realised that I understood very little, and the directions seemed almost to be written in another language, they made so little sense to me. To make matters worse, a lot of it was out of order, so there would be no pictures where there ought to have been, and then they would appear somewhere else, and the difficult patterns sometimes came before the simple ones. And many things were repeated throughout the book. Sometimes, I would find the same pattern on different pages, and with slightly different instructions, if I remember right. So, it looks as if it's back to the drawing board for me.

I am interested in taking up macrame, but I needed a step by stwp guide. And this book was just what I needed. It really is a step by step guide, and it has a picture with each step which I found especially helpful. Then the book moves into projects, I found the beginner projects just challenging enough. But, I also.appreciated that there was a chapter of advanced projects as well. I look forwarf to trying the more advanced projects like the intricate plant hangers in the future. I would recommend this book to anyone who would like to take up macrame.

It’s amazing what can be made with cord and knot tying! This book shows you the basic then advanced knots and the steps to create them. Cords,weights and uses are also discussed. You can make a table runner or ornaments. Most impressively, you can make curtains. Everything created is by simply tying knots! Try it..it’s creative and calming.

Not only is this book really easy to follow, it includes step-by-step instructions with pictures to show exactly how each strand should be for specific projects. I like the aesthetically pleasing view that comes with modern day macrame designs and this is such a good book for coming up with some of these crafts to decorate your home with.

This book was a very good book to learn from. It had the different knot techniques along with pictures to help you visualize .Has a lot of patterns and the tools you will need. Love the Christmas ornaments and the pet leaches . Will be trying to make these two first. Highly recommend this book .
