Stenka Na Stenku

This doesn't have a whole lot in the way of screaming vocals, but it has all the other elements of Arkona from the older CDs. In the previous albums, I like a lot of the songs, but due to too much screaming for my taste, I end up skipping about half of the songs. I enjoy all the songs on this one, though.I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because it's kind of short (not a full album), and even though I like the CD overall, the songs don't match up to some of my favorites from the past (Rus, Solntsevorot, Ot Serdtsa K Nebu, Sila Slavnyh, etc.). But who knows, maybe one or two of these songs will grow on me and join my collection of Arkona favorites.

I love her Voice and the instruments

Diese CD ist ein Leckerbissen für alle Liebhaber von unverfälschtem Pagan Folk, die russische Folklore nicht nur an Ivan Rebroff oder Dschingis Khan ("Moskau") festmachen. Was hier geboten wird, ist Herz und Schmerz pur, Folklore paart sich mit fetzigem Pagan Metal und russischer Seele. Die einzige Ausnahme ist "Skal", ein Sauflied in bester Korpiklaani-Manier, unterstützt von den Varg-Mitstreitern.Wer Pagan-Folk auf hohem Niveau genießen will, kommt an dieser CD nicht vorbei. Daher nicht zögern, zugreifen!

Nachdem ich eigentlich mehr durch Zufall auf Arkona gestoßen bin, kann ich nur positives über diese Band schreiben. Russische Pagan-Metalband kann man nicht beschreiben, sondern muss man hören.

今年夏リリース予定のアルバムからの先行EP"single + 5 non-album tracks!"というステッカーが貼ってあるので、tr.1以外はアルバム未収録になるみたいです。tr.1,2は疾走しまくりのフォークメタルチューン。超ノリノリですｗtr.3は前作のタイトルトラックのアコースティックバージョン。ほとんど別の曲になってますけどｗtr.4〜6どれもミドルテンポ主体で幻想的な曲。tr.1,2ほどのインパクトは無いですが、なかなか良くできた曲。という感じのなかなか充実した内容のEPです。値段も手頃なんでArkonaファンは即買い推奨です。
