NICE, But change the strings immediately
As an electric acoustic this guitar is fantastic!Change the strings before even trying to play it. Strings matter SO much!!!!!!! They should definitely start you off with better strings. The pick ups are excellent so plugged in this guitar sounds twice as sweet. This is my 3rd Takemine and I’ve paid less for each one progressively and the electronics have gotten better & better. I’m very pleased with the quality, sound, and especially the durability (I’m very rough on my guitars).Lastly - I was shocked that the guitar was PERFECT. The box was torn up and I expected dings and scratches. Not one scratch. But I think they should pack it for shipping a little more aggressively.

Great boosting sound with forgiving fret size
Everything was shipped nice and protected and arrived when expected! I like the tuner and EQ sound, accurate and easy to use. The guitar sounds and looks great, just ordered a guitar cleaning kit to keep it looking nice. Sound is OMG better than what I had heard on YouTube demos even when I play without an acoustic amp. Fret neck action is smooth and fret width makes it easier to cord which makes it very forgiving. I only wish it had came with a case even a soft case to help protect such a beautifully made guitar.

Tak-tastic
I was checking out guitars from favorite brands, focusing on Seagull, Takamine, Yamaha, Epiphone, and the occasional Martin. I came across a review on guitar site.com listing the best acoustic electrics under $500. This Tak was the only standard dreadnought sized guitar listed, and based on my admiration for the brand, I took a chance on it, trusting their quality control was up to the job. I did not have a chance to play it first, so I was a bit anxious. I have to say, though, it has more than met my expectations. The action is good. The tone is exactly what I was after. It is balanced with notes able to rise from any string clearly as needed. I use it in a classroom, so I didn't want it too expensive in case whatever happened. This model is made in China, but it makes me think of when people used to rave about strats made in Japan after the initial hand-wringing. The quality of build is solid. I love this thing.

Natural is the new Black...
Arrived and was not black, but was natural color. Was disappointed, but needed it for a gig. Used it anyway. Decent sound, but disappointed about the color.

Love the Guitar, Poor Packing/shipping
1st Guitar was shipped in an oversized box with no additional padding. Guitar was damaged, had to send back, see pictures. Second was shipped the same way, but no damage luckily. Would have been 5 stars if shipped correctly.Love the Takamine
