The cost is excellent for the features provided.The best features are: sturdy support, soft grip surface, lift and store to the wall.This was ordered for my mother and she is very happy with the use, look and feel.

This works as described and the ability to raise and lower it is great. The wall anchors it comes with are garbage and would only work in a concrete wall. You need to use some heavy lag bolts form a hardware store to install this into the stud. Remember you'll only be able to screw into only one stud and the other side will need to be anchors in drywall. Just go to the hardware store and pick up some that will fit through the hole opening. I drilled a third hole on the side that goes into the stud so I had three bolts holding this to the wall and used drywall anchors for other two holes on the other side. Sturdy as can be and will hold my father's full weight. It's a bit of a pain that you need to find your own hardware but the bar is great and I haven't seen another one like it.

Overall, the appearance and quality of the assist bar is very good. Unfortunately, the mounting anchors included were for concrete! Who has concrete in their bathroom? Trip to the friendly Ace hardware got the proper anchors and the install went much more smoothly! I got this because it didn't look so institutional. It's mounted and works, but consider the more plain bars if you need one. Also the plastic cover for the mounting plate was cracked upon receipt. Quick dab of super glue took care of that. Buyer beware......

I like how solid the bar is. Once anchored into a stud this bar provides great support but the best part is that it folds up if and when needed. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Installation was a nightmare! One person in wheelchair and one person with knee pain did not make this project go very well. Wrong anchor bolts sent. Small screws for bar, missing one. It took us 2 days and a trip to Home Depot to get installed and yet we have to go back to get one small screw for bar. Great product, but instructions were very vague. Their website was no help.

Like others said, bolts included are for concrete (I think). Get 3.5 or 4 inch 3/8 lag bolts, 1/4 drill bit to leave lots of wood for threads. Instructions don’t show you there are 2 screws underneath to align with the 2 above, thread them all before tightening. Happy with product, nice look.
