you get your money's worth on it.
Not gonna hold back on pros and cons. This desk is decent for the price it is. Although my cons are that the instructions were confusing, the desk tray only lasted me a year before it broke, the laminate got scratched up easily, and it came with a few scratches already on the one wooden slab. Now pros with desk that I have had are a lot more then cons. This desk has lasted me almost 2 years now with no other issues then the desk tray breaking, its sturdy to hold my pc, xbox and others stuff, the leg room is a lot better then my old desk, I can fit my snack drawer, mini fridge, and leg rest all under there with out issue, and last con is after I sell my xbox I'll be able to have more room for a bigger tank for my iguana.

Good value for what you get, and just what I was looking for...
Received my desk yesterday, and set it up today. As others have said, you need to follow directions or you will be putting bars in incorrect spots. That being said, it was simple enough to assemble, and all of the parts I needed were present.Quality: You get what you are paying for, and in this case you get a composite desk with a veneer. Mine came with a few scratches and blemishes here and there, but it is no big deal to me, as I already intended on replacing the top down the road with a solid piece of wood. Some of the alignments aren't perfect otherwise it is fine. The desk feels EXTREMELY flimsy during assembly, until you get the tension rods installed, where it gains some strength. It also comes with feet, so you may level the desk which is nice for those who don't exactly have the most level homes. I am NOT using the corner piece, as I purchased this desk to use it as two separate desks in two different rooms and cannot attest to its durability but it feels like it would be relatively solid (this would be one of the areas where following the directions is imperative). I am also not utilizing the keyboard tray at the moment, but did notice that it is on par with most current keyboard trays where it is not exactly big enough for a full size keyboard and mouse for use, though with optical mice it would still work.As others have stated the color is more of an espresso brown which I like, but is definitely the deep cherry pictured above (but I knew this by reading other reviews and didn't care).I see no reason the framing won't hold up for years to come, and once I add a piece of solid wood as a desktop there will be no reason THAT doesn't last for years to come.

Great Desk, Build Each Side Separately Prior to Joining
Overall: Nice desks, well worth the cost. The rich, dark wood look is awesome and looks great with the black frame. (Color is different than pictured.)Easy to assemble (all you need outside of the included parts is a screwdriver), and very versatile in that you can swap the long and short sides and have the keyboard tray on either one too. This allowed me to perfectly mirror two desks together.Note about the instructions:I highly recommend NOT fully assembling the desk frame prior to flipping it over in step 7. Instead, assembling each side of the desk first, THEN flipping them over and attaching them after helps avoid a massive headache. You don't want to have to flip the entire thing over, and don't need to. I did it this way for my second desk, and it went much more fluidly and intuitively. Both desks did unfortunately arrive with a couple of small scratches on a panel, but I'll update with the results after contacting customer service.Update:Customer service via e-mail was pleasant and promptly resolved the issue with immediate replacement parts in the mail. Replacing the parts of an already assembled desk wasn't very difficult.Great desk, great price, great overall experience.

Good for what it is, a VERY cheap but functional desk
First off, to be very clear, this is a cheap desk. It's very lightweight with a paper-thin "laminate" surface that will scratch every time you move something across it, exposing the particle board underneath. It is NOT a piece you'd want where it might be seen by guests, etc. If you look in my attached pictures you can see all the areas where the particle board was exposed out of the box, as well as the scratches that are on all the black borders. Also, as you can see the color of the desk I received is very different from what it shown in the picture. That said, it's actually very functional and spacious. I have a home office that i spend a lot of time in and it works perfectly for that. It holds my monitor off the desk surface to make room for my router and phone VOIP box, has a nice spot for my tower PC, etc. You're able to set up either direction as the "short" side if you reverse certain directions, etc. For a $100, it did exactly what I needed it to!

Excellent desk..
First, company was excellent to deal with. I had some missing parts but they were sent to me immediately. Great service and excellent product.Instructions were OK. But I must admit I am the worst assembler of anything. So my expectation was that my first attempt to build the desk would be a challenge. It was.DO NOT TIGHTEN THE FASTENERS UNTIL YOU ARE 100% POSITIVE YOU HAVE BUILT IT CORRECTLY.If only I had followed my warning. The direction are for building the desk as shown in the description, short side to the left of the long side. I wanted the short side on the right.. It wasn't until I had the desk mostly built that I realized I had the leg pieces on the exact opposite of the way I wanted itWhat should have taken any competent person maybe an hour to build, took me MUCH longer. Not the company's fault.. all mine. Also be sure not to open all of the fastener packets until you need them. This piece of advice i did follow.Overall very satisfied.
