LaserMax Guide Rod Laser (Green) LMS-1441G For Use With Beretta 92/96 Full Size and Taurus 92/99/100/101

As expected the install was a snap. My particular Beretta shoots about 2 inches low and 1 inch to the left of point of aim using the green dot. That's at 30 feet. There is no adjustment on the position of the green dot. Depending on your use and expectation, that's not a big problem. The green dot is bright enough to see in daylight on light targets, but gets iffy on darker ones. In twilight or dark, it's wonderful on any target. For older eyes, this is a great aid that doesn't change the appearance or holster fit of the 92FS. The off / on switch is a cross pin that runs through the included new disassembly latch. From the off position you can turn the laser on by pushing the pin to the left or right of center. Turn it off by pushing the pin back to center position from the opposite side of the weapon. I've had no trouble with accidental turn ons using the standard military holster for this pistol. Laser uses the pistol frame as part of the electrical control circuit so don't expect it to be easy to turn on until it's installed.

The big question to this item should be, is it worth the price? In my opinion it would be yes.This item is a must have because it is built into your weapon, no add on rail system which will cause holster issues which are not cheap. If u don't want to miss a target area in the dark and u want to hit a limb like an arm or a leg u dare not try that with out this laser and of course watch your background. Beretta sights suck at night so this item is a life saver.

I was glad I bought this laser from Amazon as it was $100 cheaper than the msrp. It was installed in less than 5 minutes and I love the green dot which is much easier for me to see. I have been able to use it to shoot the smaller circle on my spinning metal target that was almost impossible for me to hit with any regularity using standard sights!!! One other aspect of the laser it's a great training tool teaching you how much you actually move while holding on a target... This might have been a pricey accessory but I'm glad I have it and if someone is dumb enough to ever enter my home I can promise they are gonna get lit up!!!!

I bought this knowing it was not meant to be adjusted by end users. That kind of thing hasn't stopped me before, and I've had plenty of success elsewhere using the appropriate tools. There are 3 (0.8mm ? ) hex set screws that hold the laser unit in place. Only one of them would turn, the other two wouldn't budge lest they would be stripped out. So much for adjustment. The one I received was 4" off to the right at 10 yards. However, my 92fs has a custom barrel with a muzzle device, though the inaccuracy was determined via laser boresight, no firing was required (the barrel accurate to within 1" at 20yards from a rest, so I consider the boresight test sufficient to align new sights). That said, whose bright idea was it to assume all instances of any model of handgun will have exactly the same POA/POI relationship all the time? Things like custom barrels and muzzle devices exist, can change, and require sight adjustment. Really a shameful oversight.

you just cant beat a guide rod laser, its extremely accurate with no adjusting and really helps you hit your mark compared to the iron sights that are hard to see when its dark or even dimly lit, Ive shot 200 rounds thru it so far with no issues, it turns off when the slide is back for reloading, they should make these for more models, i would like one for a PX4 also if they made one

Why doesn't it mention anywhere in your product description that IT FLASHES LIKE A STROBE LIGHT?! So irritating.

I have to say that I am very pleased with this product. When I ordered it, I didn’t think that I would be happy with the pulsating laser because I thought it was going to be more of a flashing motion but I ordered it anyway just to satisfy my curiosity and it was much better than I expected. The pulse is so fast that it almost looks like a solid beam. I also like that it is completely unobtrusive and it doesn’t take away from the look of my gun.

This was too dim to use around dusk, even in the shade of my shooting range. I tried new batteries and still too dim to be practical.
