Avalon Ultrasonic Digital Zero Noise Technology, ETL Approved Cool Mist Humidifier with Remote and Filter

I love this humidifier. I researched my purchase for a long time before deciding to buy the Avalon Premium Ultrasonic Digital Cool Mist humidifier. It is whisper soft quiet, which was a very good selling point. It is true that the one feature that is unfortunate is the light this gives off. My partner prefers to sleep in a dark room, however, it does act as a nice nightlight if you don't mind such things. The water reservoir is more than adequate. The humidifier is larger than some models, but that means less refilling. We have ours in the master bath on the countertop. I would strongly recommend this product.

While the design of the unit is nice to look at, I should have heeded the warnings of some of the previous reviewers. The blue display light on the front is insanely bright & you can't turn it off. It beeps every time you have to press any of the button settings, which unfortunately, is a lot, and often at night (when my husband has already gone to bed). Every time you turn the unit on, you have to reset all your preferred settings. I found that unless I kept mine set to "Continuous" it would turn itself off since it doesn't seem to register a consistent humidity. I also discovered the hard way that an output setting of 3 is too much (hello, wet carpeting!), so I stick with 1 now.It runs for the full 12 hours overnight without running out of water, which is nice. I do like the rotating nozzle to try to direct the mist. It's easy to refill & air dry, but it takes a while for it to recognize when I've refilled it with water and gives me the two hash marks on the front, telling me the tank is empty, despite it being full. Mine didn't contain a brush, even though the manual says it comes with one & gives special instructions on using it. The second time I used it, every time I pressed a button, the tank light would turn on & off, even though I wasn't pressing that button - I was adjusting the timer & mist output. It hasn't repeated that nonsense, fortunately, but slightly concerning so early during its lifecycle. There is also no information on replacement filters.For this price, I was hoping to reuse this humidifier for several years, but not sure it's going to be useful that long. And quite frankly, I am just not noticing much of an improvement in dry skin, scratchy throat in the morning, static electricity charges galore. I'm using it in my average size bedroom, so I had high hopes this was going to make life more tolerable during the winter months. Eh, it's just ok.

This is by far the best humidifier I've ever seen/tried! It is completely silent, easy to fill & use. Doesn't cause my windows to develop condensation, like my old humidifier, even at a higher humidity setting. I've been using it for about 4 days now and am considering getting another one! And it doesn't need constant refilling, which is really nice! Once for constant running 12+ hours, sometimes longer.

As far as a humidifier goes it is well built, easy to fill, accurately humidifies, the humidistat is accurate, it is easy to use and the blue light doesn't seem to be obnoxious at all. I was about to log on and give it a 5 star rating several days ago, and order another one for a different room when I noticed one ANNOYING FLAW.The issue is this. When I use my VERIZON FIOS TV REMOTE to change channels or skip forward (anything in a positive direction) the humidifier reads the signal and increases the humidity level desired. When you increase this the device makes a light beep; for several days I wondered what was beeping. Then yesterday I realized it was cross interference with the controllers. There is a simple fix, you can face the humidifier away from you and turn the nozzles in direction you wish. This might be a big issue or a non-issue depending on if you have fios and if you can move humidifier out of field.I researched humidifiers and this one is excellent. However, the nozzles on top can be set to point in any direction BUT THEY DO NOT ROTATE IN 360 DEGREES AUTOMATICALLY AS IT OPERATES. They can be turned by hand only.ADDITIONAL:SEVERAL MONTHS OF USE AND IT DOES NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY. BARELY WORKS FOR 5 MIN THEN TURNS OFF. NOT HAPPY WITH THIS PURCHASE.

Nice unit, compact and easy to clean. Cool mist worked well within the first month, but then the mist stopped and it just blew air. I also realized that th warm mist did not work at all.

This is a very good unit. Most importantly, it's absolutely silent, and the reservoir is big enough.I do have a grip with the reservoir, as the system to fill it up is quite messy, and when you put it back on after filling it, the sensor will detect too much moisture around and it won't work for a while.Lastly, like many have said, it really needs a way to turn off the leds.However, this is the best humidifier I've tried so far. I live in socal, with an extremely dry climate to which I am not used, and my sinuses are permanently congested as a result, not to mention eczema. This helps a lot at night.
