March 2024This mechanical Classic Dream model has a silvery white dial, set in a stainless steel case with golden trim (there is also a quartz model). It is an elegant piece that creates a good impression and that I am pleased to wear.It has scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protecting the attractive dial.The movement is "Swissmatic", which as far as I can tell falls somewhere between "Automatic" and "Powermatic 80". This will run the watch for about 70 hours once fully wound. Some mistakenly believe this means the watch will run for 70 hours from when taken off the wrist. Even when very active, wrist movement alone will not fully wind the watch. As a self-winding watch, provided one is reasonably active, one can expect it to remain running from when it is taken off in the evening till when put back on the next day. If one wants it to stay running for longer the watch should be wound when taken off. The winding mechanism has a built-in feature to prevent over-winding. For this watch I found that fully winding meant twirling the crown between thumb and forefinger over a hundred times.The back of the watch has a window into its inner workings. There is not much to see. There is a weighted "flywheel" driven by gravity, which presumably is the mechanism by which the watch automatically winds itself. This obscures half the innards, but by rotating the watch the wheel will turn and then the other half will be visible. Even so, there is only the bottom slice of the mechanism visible.The stainless steel linked wrist bracelet has a butterfly clasp. It is adjusted to fit one's wrist by removing links. The adjustment can only be made to the number of links that fit the best. Most of the time this is adequate and should be within a couple of millimeters of actual best fit.The watch keeps accurate time. I have not measured it to the second, but in the several weeks that I have used it there has been no need to adjust it for accuracy.To sum up, in both appearance and performance this watch has entirely met my expectations. With regard to quality and durability I rely on my past experiences with Tissot and am trusting that this timepiece will live up to my expectations.IMHO Tissot does not do a good job of documentation. The user guide has to be viewed online and is not always comprehensive or specific to the model.As the bracelet will need adjustment more often than not, I feel they should supply instructions for adjusting it as well as a tool to do so. I would be embarrassed to give this watch as a gift, and then expect the recipient to have to buy a tool to adjust the bracelet. Likewise Tissot should be embarrassed that after buying the watch I need to go to additional expense and trouble to adjust the bracelet.I give it five stars, but dock two points for documentation and bracelet adjustment. This makes it a more accurate 4.8 star assessment. (None of these negatives relates to the watch itself. )

Not a battery-electric watch. The excellent self-winding feature requires some activity early-on to keep the watch going. It will be interesting to see how long it can remain inactive to keep going. So far, I am very fond of the watch.

I've had this watch several years now and seldom wear it because I'm retired and do not have many occasions to wear a nice "dress watch". It is a well made watch and is very light based on it's automatic rewind counter-weight design. The problem I have had is the fact that the numerals on the face of the watch are falling off! I returned for repair once and now additional numerals are falling off? I honestly cannot give the watch a high review based on this fact.
