Great for Dry Camping!!
I own two electric pressure cookers and often took them camping with us. When we went to solar we needed to conserve electric so I purchased this type of pressure cooker. I was nervous to use it only having ever used electric pressure cookers, but with the help of a couple of youtube videos and the instruction manual I was ready to go. I have to babysit this type of cooker a little bit more, but honestly loved the results and found it to be much faster than my electric cookers. Fagor has a great name and I feel this is a sturdy, well made product that I will enjoy for many years!!

Fast, nutritious food prep
My favorite pressure cooker is my 8qt. Innova. I've been trying to locate another for ages. I was thrilled to discover Fagor is now offering Innova. These pressure cookers are of excellent quality and performance. They are made in Spain. (Stainless steel is a must for us.) I love my 8qt. but this 6qt. size is perfect for smaller cuts of meat and smaller quantities of stews and casseroles

Very nice. Some questions about the plastic parts.
Very solid, works great. Why not five stars? Well, I'd really give 4 1/2 if possible. As an engineer, I have some comments on the construction. I haven't been around a pressure cooker for a generation or more, having been exposed to the crude kind where there's a weight dancing around over a vent. This is far better. But, the safety organizations have put in multiple backup systems to prevent an overpressure event. I'm sure they work, but in the implementation there's some flimsiness. I would expect most pressure cookers would have the same construction details.First, the good: The unit is very solid, with heavy gauge stainless construction. The handles are solid plastic, without play or flex. The details: To prevent overpressure, there are several safety valves, which look a bit flimsy compared to the rest of the cooker. My biggest complaint is that the main pressure valve, when disassembled, is a light-weight piece of plastic, with a spring actuator, made with a number of intricate grooves and notches to create the 8 lb (low) and 15 lb (high) pressure relief. I wonder how this will hold up and whether or not it will need to be replaced (and be available when that is necessary). Also, the cover locking mechanism is plastic, and I don't know how durable that will be, either. There is also a silicone ring which needs replacing every year or two. Interestingly, one of the features of this ring, which is rather clever, is that it is v-shaped in cross section, rather than tubular or flat. Along the edge of the cover is a rectangular notch. If all of the other pressure relief valves fail, the ring will be pressed against the opening and blow out, relieving the pressure. I wonder at what over-pressure level this is supposed to occur.Everything I've cooked in it has been delicious. I'd recommend purchasing it, unless you have experience in these things and can convince yourself that some of the super-premium cookers are worth the difference.

Perfect pan.
The size is just right for making bone broth. It is large enough for inserting a smaller pan for baking cheesecake, bread or brown rice. Stack pans in it and cook an entire meal. I can fit 4 small ramekins in it for Custard or Creme Brûlée. I purchased this Fagor because I'm happy with a 6 Qt. Fagor and needed a larger one for bone broth.

Scary pressure cooker!
I just replaced my Fagor pressure cooker I bought a decade ago with this and that was a big mistake. Been using pressure cookers for over a decade and this is the first one that has ever scared me. Used it 3 times so far and 2 out of the 3 times liquid came out of the cooker while releasing the pressure. It was not above the fill line and I always use the quick release method. The last time, the cap popped off. Definitely sending this thing back!

Okay, but not like my 10-year-old Fagor
I've had a Fagor 6 qt pressure cooker for years. I got this because I wanted a larger size. It works okay, but is nothing like my old one. The metal seems flimsier - especially the lid. The seal is very touchy - it's easy to lose pressure in the middle of cooking. The pin that indicates when the pot is under pressure is gray and very hard to see while you're cooking. On my old Fagor, the pin was colorful and easy to see from across the room.
